This, the Movie basically negates the impact of that episode.he lived a long happy life like Fry thought, he just dies in an accident, instead of the Jurassic bark's original implication he stood outside waiting forever.

I think Fry's mom actually caring and being written like a realistic human would have had a lot more emotional impact and provided for a richer episode. Seymour was great though so I'm happy with what we got.
