The one thing that the movie did well was the accurate period dialogue. That stuff was solid and whoever wrote it deserves a medal. The plot, on the other hand.
The trailer spoils the only genuinely frightening moment, when the baby disappears in the span of a second, and then instead of keeping the baby's whereabouts and state unknown for as long as possible, they just immediately release that tension by showing us that the baby is dead.
