This is an overrated film. As a regular BTAS episode, it works well. But as theatrical release, it has a too soppy plot and dated low budget animation. Burton films are better.

Anyways it was a good movie, BTAS is easily one of if not the finest incarnation of Batman so anything in that setting tends to be good.
The unfortunate thing is that Burton's films aren't better.

It's not in my top five of bat films but I wouldn't say it's overrated. It's not quite as epic as it aspires to be but it's pretty effective all the same. Wish we saw more of phantasm outside of it.
