Zootopia Thread Hotpocket Edition
Discuss the movie.
More like pootopia.
>>84230584
Cloven bar seems like a comfy place to chill.
Wish actually added it into the film tbqh.
>>84230608
Probably too mature for a kid's movie.
>>84230622
Well they could've been subtle, movie was rated PG anyway.
>>84230640
Irrelevant to plot, they had screentime constraints
>>84230584
Judy is a geek
You gotta have imagination, anon.
>Weaselton tells Judy and Nick that he meets up with Dug in the Cloven bar
>they go to the bar and find Dug
>they stalk him throughout the day leading them into the lab in the subway
Would've been nice to see more of the world.
>>84230801
Fuck, forgot to quote >>84230747
>>84230584
I hope they announce a short soon. Hopefully before the janitor special rules made up about Zootopia threads.
>>84230821
It's been only 4 months.
do something else, man.
>>84230821
>before the janitor special rules made up about Zootopia threads.
What?
>>84230821
Frozen Fever was anounced around 2 years after the film so I guess we're gonna be dry for the next two years or so.
WHY ARE THESE THREADS GETTING SLOWER AND SLOWER?
>>84231237
Shit movie
>>84231237
Because of inconsistency from hotpockets deleting these threads.

Didn't /frz/ get banned after a while? Is that what you people want?

Did he finally succumb?
>>84231542
I don't think we hit /frz/ levels yet.
Also, there's still people who just recently watched the film and talk about it here stirring up some discussion from different points of view like in the previous thread.
Not gonna deny that its stay is overwelcomed here thoughbut these threads are comfy.

>Hotpocket Edition
Are these threads starting to suffer from dead links aka deleted posts like the old /frz/ threads or something ?
I miss /frz/ ....or at least the idea of /frz/. some of the anons who were in those threads were mean to me, and I hated that they made it feel like some information was off limits, and that you had to part of their secret in crowd to know about certain things that they would hint at within the threads.
>>84232326
There's a few deleted posts here and there, but they're only obvious furry stuff.
I've never had any problems here. Everybody just seems relaxed
>>84232301
That bun should be punished for being too happy!
>>84232436
What do you have against happy buns, anon?
>>84232450
There is no place for a happy bun in this world.
>>84232450
he's prejudiced.
I bought a Judy from the Disney Store for $15 plus tax, but I did't buy Nick because I didn't have enough money for both. Now most all the merch is gone from most, and my Judy is all by herself forever. I was hoping to find the fox in a clearance sale, but I've had no such luck.
>>84232518
>he didn't buy the stuffed Finnick that comes with unique lines
95% disappointment
>>84232491
everytime i see this fucking thing i see a gun pointed to his head, a wasp about to sting him in the eye. all these fucking fangirls dont see it, shit's nit cute, shit's fucked up.
i just... like, maybe even love, nick, and i hate that howard was so serious about it, he directed everything practically into a wall, just because of his precious pet character.
i dont hate the city anymore, it doesnt exist, but person who came up with that idea deserves all my hate.
>>84232491
>>84232503
Now look at what you've done!
>>84232491
I heard something about he was going to fight off other preds defending Judy. How would that have worked for them when all are wearing the collar?
>>84231536
I feel so related to this, zootopia train entrance was easily one of my favorite part of the movie. Every time I go to a new city in another part of the world I have that stupid grin on my face and everything seems magical.
Travelling is a bliss
>>84232767
he'd try to fight while being constantly shocked, till he pass up.
you know to make him more "badass" or something.
>>84232767
There was storyboard art of this floating around somewhere, just too lazy to look for it.
It could've played off with Nick getting zapped constantly but still dares himself to fight despite the pain. Sounds like another heart-wrenching scene in protozoo.
>>84232873
i'm pretty sure these 5 y/o would love to see that.
>>84232807
Fighting despite being in agonizing pain to protect someone you care for is pretty badass, desu.
>try
Oh. That's just tragic then. Which ok, so the collars trigger on heartrate, so wouldn't that mean once activated it won't stop until the wearer's heart "calms down" aka "drops dead"?
>>84232910
Go away, Bryon.

Like damn, I know it's not popular "happy with what we got" etc, but I really would've loved to see this scene. >>84233226
We can't really tell for sure since his relationship with Judy in protozoo is too vague but I'm willing to bet that the character build-up was there.
>>84233166
Much like the scene where Judy learns it, you've omitted the D.

Okay, I only just watched the movie for the first time Friday, I have some questions.
The biggest of which, so did like, no one care about what a terrible cop Judy was?
>making a deal with a professional con artist to let him off for felony tax evasion with 0 permission to do so
>all kinds of trespassing and doing shit without a warrant, none of this evidence would be admissible in court
>she's been on the force for 2 days and already is chummy and working with the fucking mafia, and none of this "oh the mafia is the good guys" shit, he was literally about to murder her, a fucking cop, because she was witness to another attempted murder of his, but then he starts helping him out and she immediately turns the other cheek
>not only that, uses her new mob connections to interrogate someone by literally having the mob threaten to fucking execute them
>nearly murders three sheep suspects, causes a massive explosion in the subway system, all after having quit and having no authority as an officer of the law
@84233503

>>84231237
The janitor keeps disrupting our threads by deleting then for no reason other than because they are tired of monitoring them.
>>84233731
It doesn't really matter, anon.
Zootopia's hit a worthy billion and that's already something which makes it stands out.
Either way, I loved both films and I can see the appeal for Finding Dory but you should really just love a film for what it is.
>>84233689
wait, what did i just post
>tin can
always wanted zootin can!
>clawsome activities
>critter coloring
>hopping activities
so punny, just like the movie!
>>84233731
I think a lot of people resigned themselves to the fact that Finding Dory would beat Zootopia. It's just how the world works, Disney didn't think Zootopia would be as popular as it was and the movie didn't get the marketing it deserved.
Now we as fans must suffer as we wonder if the wildly successful movie we enjoyed will get a sequel simply because Disney didn't care enough about the movie from the start.
>>84233910
It hit a billion, Wreck-It-Ralph even only just made 400mil but it's still getting a sequel.
It would be dumb for Disney to not make a sequel.

>>84233731
Finding dory is a sequel
>>84233981
Sadly I cannot
>>84233945
I agree it should get a sequel or some continuation, but it will be years from now. I bet a lot of the fandom it has now will die out over that time.
>>84233961
I'm a shit memer
>>84233990
I think if a movie makes a billion dollars, you can probably find some way to continue it. Its just a matter of if Disney wants to.
>>84234045
"Incredibles" dillema.
right subject, right time.
>>84233990
Bryon and Rich are pretty enthustiastic for a sequel though.
I'm pretty sure it'll work out since the world's got its potential and it could even be told from a different narrative or so.
It would be a real shame throwing the world of Zootopia into the bin leaving it to rot.
>>84234101
>a different narrative or so.
oh please, please.
>>84230584
Someone shop the bun microwaving hotpockets.
>>84234129
I have my doubts on that though, part of the reason why the film's beloved in the first place is how charming Judy and Nick were and having the right chemistry together.

It was always going to beat it in domestic, internationally it probably won't make as much as Zootopia. I'm guessing 900-950 million worldwide.
Summer movies also tend to blow their entire load in the first 3-4 weeks or so, since everyone goes to see it at once.

Any more info?
>>84233540
BUT DAMMIT SHE GETS RESULTS!
>>84240551
Not really, other than he very quickly became Nick Wilde, a fox secret agent.
>>84240551
one of the very first concepts revolved around Jack Savage the bunny, adventuring, braving dangers and exploring a dangerous and vibrant world populated by talking animals. The movie would be called Savage Seas.
Then directors became captivated with the idea of the world and decided to focus on building animal city instead, spawning zootopia 1.0 (aka zistopia), which is where entire collar concept came from. Nick Wilde was supposed to be the protagonist.
This concept was ditched some 18 months before release and the film became Zootopia as we know it starring Judy Hopps as the main character and referred to as Zootopia 2.0 to distinguish it from the original script.
>>84240551
watch the documentary,
also there was a good video on vimeo, but i don´t have the link to that
furthermore you can find more information in the book " the Art of Zootopia"
Long Time ago, before the birth of our beloved Cop duo, there has been a Story about a Bunny-Bond called Jack Savage. His adventures were called "Savage seas". But even before them there were six original ideas
> Mice musketeers
> A mad doctor cat
> A pug bountyhunter in space

Oh, and the ears look too forced, right?
>>84242448
It's ok, I needs some inbetweens to smooth everything up and make it more organic. About the ears, notice that Judy's ears don't normally look both forward so much, they face a lot to the side, sot as much as human ears though. Also in movie judy's ears are slightly bent most of the time.
