He did good. I don't think his performance really affected the comics, since the character was already a supreme edgelord when TDK came out and modern Joker was just just the end result of an arms race

In terms of what? The comics? Cause they were making Joker super edgy long before TDK.

Are you talking about how normies view the Joker? Cause there've been a bunch of different yet popular interpretations of the Joker. But I guess the only way to really gauge that is when SS comes out and people compare Leto to Ledger.
