poorly phrased by me, what i meant is that most of the times the characters act disproportionally to the situations which totally makes it look like the characters, for example, cry all the time to tell us that something sad happened, because the dramatic situations the writers come up with are not relatable or good enough. This is sorta hard for them though due to wanting to send complex messages (the whole agenda everyone complains about), but thats a risk taken that often doesnt pay off.

eh, it makes sense for him to act that way: This is post-Space Race and Rose's Scabbard, so he already knows that Pearl could be intense at times. There's a lot of subtle character acting (I think the reason why some people have a problem with SU is because it's TOO subtle) during "Do it for Her" that shows connie starting to get caught up with pearl in a way that steven notices. Pear literally saying that connie will be an asset to him and Garnet talking about how pearl would throw away her life for Rose are the cinchers.

This, the animations in the fight between Amethyst and Pearl in On the Run looked markedly better in storyboard form than in the final product, because the Koreans couldn't properly translate all of the animation details. When you're working with the kinds of animation studios that SU is, you can over animate something that the actual animation team can't quite handle.

Except it didn't. It has the same exact weight and flow. The storyboard has less detail so it makes it look like more is going on in the drawings itself. Korra, Ben 10, SBT were done by Koreans and still looks 10x better.

I kind of think that CN might be aiming for a younger audience, which could be why they're airing SU episodes less and seem to almost be ignoring AT and RS lately, as well as the promos with the kids. Ironically, they get their best ratings from the 12-34 demo, and those ratings have recently come from SU.
Although the TTGxPPG crossover had high ratings, it really wasn't competing with much, and they promoted the hell out of it compared to its only real competition that night, the RS special. I imagine that had they not promoted it to that degree and aired it on a night with better competition, it would have done a whole lot worse.

From the beginning of the year until right now, there have only been 10 episodes released. That's less than 15 minutes of content per month.
Fuck this hype, man. There's better shows out there that release longer episodes on a more consistent basis. After we get these 4 new episodes, it'll be another haitus until late October-early November.
I'm not sure if it's production of the show being absolute dog-shit tier, or Cartoon Network being fucked up, but it's killing the show. I don't know what the purpose of this release format is, but comparing the views of these episodes to episodes released on a regular basis, the newer episodes are getting far fewer views.
It's kind of pathetic that the In Too Deep back to back opening episodes only got 1.69 million US viewers despite all the hype, when random townie episodes in the middle of seasons like Historical Friction get 1.88 million views.
