Guilded Age is okay. It's got some kinda wonky bits, though.

K6BD should have enough pages by now to give you a good hour of reading.

There's always Poppy, as well. If you've never read Prequel, that's a good one too.

Next Town Over
Spellcross (done by a guy on v, update schedule has been wonky)

And one that I am really sad that ended was Heroes Inc. Set in an alternate history, US developed supers during WW2, but the Allies lost when Japan nuked New York and LA (I think). Good use of golden age characters, but it's been dead for a while. The archive is still up, worth a read.

It really *isn't*, though. It's shit that you damn well should already know before fucking, presented in a way that talks down to its audience, and has some pretty fucked up views regarding BDSM and sex positivity in general.

Well, they ARE Americans. You know, the country that legitimately considers abstinence only education to be education?
>>
>>84185788

Ugh, 4S. I had to quit reading that shit, just couldn't take it any more. The awful pacing is bearable if they're actually doing something, but every time they get into some sweet post-apoc shenanigans like exploring ruins or being chased by a monster they gotta stop for 5-10 pages so Redhead McDoucheton can take a frolic in the fucking Norse Dreamscape or whatever.

So fucking irritating.
>>
>>84186023
Nigger, I'm an American. Abstinence only education doesn't hit near as much of the country as you seem to think, and the information still does reach them, just a bit later. (And, in too many cases in those areas, after a teen pregnancy already hit.)

Are pregnancy rates and STDs higher in areas with that style of handling the issue? Sure. But THESE ARE NOT THE FUCKING PEOPLE WHO WOULD READ OJST. THEY ARE TRAILER TRASH REDNECKS.

If you actually want to solve a fucking problem, direct the message towards the people who HAVE the fucking problem.

Yeah, I on the other hand like the slowness. I think a big part of the problem is that people read "post-apocalyptic zombies and magic" and go in expecting explosions and grittiness and intense action and fight scenes or such, but instead the comic's more like a humorous slice of life comic exploring the development of the relationships and friendships between the characters that just happens to take place in a (gorgeously drawn) post-apocalyptic setting and there's this zombie thing and they're on a mission.

I think the comic is fine, if a bit slow, but a problem is that the setting lures in a lot of people who, judging by the comments, aren't used to slower narratives and expect x-men tier "the world's about to end in this storyline, yet again, characters DIE IN GRUESOME WAYS" high stakes max intensity zombie fights, and then call it "unbearable" because there's not enough action to satisfy their expectations.

But yeah, if one is expecting the Walking Dead or Crossed type gritty grimdark survival action with a lot of explosions, blood and tears, SSSS isn't gonna give that. Even when things happen, they happen slowly and subtly, just like in real life, where significant happenings develop stealthily over time.

This page (and the following pages) apparently caused the author to get a bunch of hate mail. I find it wonderful becuase it illustrates how cut off from the rest of the world the Nordic survivors actually are, China is barely even known as a real place. There is another page, shortly after where ponytail area a stained glass cross and tries to ask what it is, but the glass crumbles and he is unable too. I love this, showing how completely cut off they are, only educated people who know history have any real idea that there may be other survivors, but the politically correct crowd won't allow it

Say what you will about SSSS, It's got some real good art, and the author is pretty nice. Actually answered a twitter question about the etymology of a characters name I sent her. I love how she handles language barriers. It's really unique as opposed to how everyone just uses a lingua franca.

Anyways, she made a 556 pg webcomic (A Redtail's Dream) as practice for 4S. It doesn't have the best ending, and it's kind of repetitive at times, but it's a decent webcomic in it's own right.

Why did she get hate mail?

Almost everyone is some kind of gross, pudgy abomination who is nearly always of some kind of bizarre sexual orientation that is represented linguistically in what can only be described as gibberish.

Holy shit, I forgot ZebraGirl existed for... Five, maybe six years now. That comic was amazing...

How much have I missed, ten pages? A dozen maybe?

Unforgivable.

He came out of hiatus a while ago, anon.
He's probably uploaded at least a hundred pages since the "Zandra sent to hell" segment.

This is a thread for stupid goober webcomics, not good ones.

I will always recommend Gone with the Blastwave.

Honourable mentions go to It Hurts!!, Lackadaisy, Nedroid and Endtown

>It's shit that you damn well should already know before fucking

Yes, it is. So it's nice to see somebody trying to educate their audience about it, hopefully before said audience fucks.

I'll agree the authors' views on BDSM and sex positivity are highly opinionated, but she does admittedly take every opportunity to remind you of that fact multiple times, out of apparent fear of offending SJWs that already hate her.

Nigga

Seriously
>>

Woah! I never thought of it that way! I guess we should all stop what we're doing an read all 450 pages of it!
>>

I enjoy Tumblrtards berating critics of that strip for "assuming what all women like" as if Willy isn't doing the same thing.

>mfw wolves aren't allowed to eat the mentally unfit anymoe

It is though, by quite a lot. I don't even like Gunnerkrigg but Dumbing of Age and Dave Willis is insufferable.

But K6BD has a pretty well-built world though. Unsounded also has some great non-conventional fantasy.
>>
>>84200497
I mean, really, there's a multimillion dollar book industry that pretty much exists to prove willis wrong.
>>
>>84200807
Chicks get off to the story though, not the art.
>>

>You have low standards.
Nigga what?
>>
>>84201327
yeah, but the men in those stories tend to be large, muscular adonises, who have some sort of injured personality the women can fix, or they're aggressive and take the woman.

which is exactly what willis was insisting was just a 'male power fantasy' that women don't actually find attractive.
