The series was in the works since the video game came out. I think there were some production issues that made it come out late.
Star Fox or Metroid would be my choice.
The banter thrown by all the characters, and general action in Star Fox would transition well into a cartoon.
Having Samus capture an enemy of the week would also be cool and really show she is a bounty hunter.

There's nothing about Ratchet and Clank that makes it inherently not work as a movie. It failed because of terrible decision-making throughout the process, and making it an animated series would do nothing to protect it from this if it happened again.

If Shantae was a cartoon they'd either have to tone down the designs a lot to suit a kid audience or ratchet up the raunchiness to suit an adult audience. Shantae would probably be better off as an anime since that seems to be the only way you can get a show specifically geared towards teenagers and not pushed towards some heavy extreme.

you remember that one episode of Dexter's Laboratory literally written by a 6 year old? do that but as an entire series. every episode is written by a different kid each week as a contest or something. just make some basic guidelines as to what the notebook can and can't do and just let the kids go nuts.

I really like the idea of a Mighty Switch Force Show, most likely set shortly after first joining the force and taking place in a society where robots and ai are only recently starting to work in the workforce and people are still uneasy about it and question what it is to be alive as well the worth of her own life being a replaceable machine in the line of duty (similar to what MLAATR tried to do). Instead of the Hooligan sisters, bring in multiple villains that tested Patricia in different ways. They don't have to be dropped either, could include them as side/background characters before their downfall into tyranny that we see in the first game to give them all some personality or a reason as to why they were so quickly trusted in the sequels.
... I've thought about this idea a lot...

I always thought a Dark Souls cartoon would be amazing but I could never figure out how they could make one and have it remain faithful to the game.
My only good idea is each episode follows a different hollow learning about a different lore character and what happened to them, each episode ending with the protagonist being killed by the lore character they were learning about.
