Recap!
Was just getting ready to storytime this.
Your internet slow today, dude?
>>84144843
I love you dave
QUITELY

I love Millar gave out copies of the trade on comixology for free.
gonna reread it before this.
OP?
Skyfox!
And yeah slow connection today + shitty captchas.
Hopefully resizing will help
This is a great scene.
Especially coming after the ending of Circle.
is it me or does this look pretty different from the first volume? looks like it's being coloured over raw pencils
Blue Bolt was pretty based.
And this takes care of that one continuity error.
>>84145247
Definitely.
I think the coloring is itself a bit more pastel looking.
>Brainwave
Looks like the Heat lost that bet, hard.
>>84145247
It does, yeah.
Could it be due to OP's resizing affecting the image quality?
>>84145341
Nah, I noticed what that anon is saying in the unaltered files as well.
Millarr has worked to make these last 5 issues come out monthly.
Could be a cut or revised method there.
Also, Hutch Jr. coming off as really blond in this issue bugs the hell out of me.
The sawdusty sorta color he had going on before was better
>>84145275
He's a Starman expy, instant appreciation from me.
>>84144843
why is that nigga a ninja?
>>84145401
aw yeah boi, daddy's little fox is on the prowl
>>84145461
So how's Hutch Jr. doing in being a Jack Knight riff for ya?
>>84145275
This is not going to turn out well.
Still the best.
>>84145603
what kind of batteries would a power rod even use?
>>84145647
It's not the real Power Rod anyway.
I figure that's in some hero HQ.
It's just a flashlight...so..
Duracells?
>>84145647
Its built from a flashlight >>84145275 ,so it would likley take a very common type.
>>84145679
a flashight that can teleport a man into an ocean at the exact point where a super powered thug will get eaten by sharks.
even if it is a knockoff it's a pretty nasty one.
>>84145842
I will treasure this (you)
timer get the better of you? hate that. or is it the captcha? I use legacy personslly, makes storytimes easier.
OP, try refreshing the page if captcha is giving you problems.
Sorry about posting pics in a storytime but looky what I found while in Amsterdam modern art gallery. Think this is the Supercrooks/JC painting
You reach enlightenment after 30 "malfunctioned captchas" in a row.
>>84146026
Looks like shitty Mondrian bullshit to me.
>>84146065
See: >>84145990
>>84146066
I think the point was that the Bastard was just amassing stuff cause he didn't know how to "do" retirement.
>>84146109
Yeah, kinda like the second thing I tried out.
Not using my normal connection.
>>84146065
seriously bro switch to legacy if normal is starting to fuck up
thanka for continuing btw
>>84146124
>Well one of you two has to ride it and I don't care who
>>84146124
>Jack Frost gives 0 fucks
I like him already.
>>84146159
It's not that.
The connection I'm using right now sorta resets continously, so it always fucks up with shit like this.
>>84146227
>that giant bitch
I detect incoming rule 34 and/or waifufaggotry.
>>84146227
oh jeez, better yiu than me mon ami
>>84146065
That's OP as fuck.
>>84146437
her dad is superman basically. if her brothervwasn't such an entitled twat he'd be a real threat but he's content to play figure head while walter treats the world like a game of civ
>>84146833
what the fuck
>>84145637
This page is a good page
>>84147112
>named after a Pokemon
bump till OP revives
>>84147112
5.2mil a year really is kindof low. Especially with inflation..
How many pages are left? It's been like a half hour since OP last posted.
JUST SOMEONE ELSE FUCKING FINISH IT.
Dave! Where'd you go?!
>>84144843
Fuck yeah I've been waiting for this.
>>84147567
oh fuck here comes super boy
Does anyone know how many pages are left?
The art is great, but it this literally un-inked?
Finally finished
Just want y'all to know.
I was spending every damn second on these captchas.
When this all finishes somebody should try to storytime the whole thing.
Isn't there supposed to be a sequel after this?
>>84147720
I did that when Circle ended.
Included SuperCrooks too, since it's in the same verse.
Of course that'll be a while since Millar might still be planning on doing another maxiseries.
>>84147707
Gookmoot has to be stopped, I had to do 5 in a row the other day. What even the fuck is up with this stupid fucking system.
>>84147707
>hey gurl, I heard you like /ss/
>>84147707
Try closing your browser then reopening it. Not just the one tab, but everything.
>>84147707
you're a real human bean Dave
>>84147707
Did she grow a head nipple?
Thanks, OP.
>>84147707
Being able to remove two swords(even one...) from your back.
that IS a super power.
>>84145295
>>84145340
Skyfox is still the best.
>>84147771
same nipple-hat as the containment thing that guy is floating in
This reminded that Quitely actually learned how to draw women. His work with Morrison had creepy doll looking women with squinted eyes and puckered mouths.
>>84146065
>cute lesbian couple in a Millar comic
Outlook bad
>>84147699
Quitely might be working looser to keep schedule.
Well that was a nice first issue but it will be hell to wait for the remaining 4 and I'm pretty sure I'll die before supercrooks 2 or any of that other shit.
>>84147707
Thanks OP now i wish i bothered to read 4 and 5 of the first series. Have a good one
>>84147707
Thanks Dave
>>84146227
How come she gets the XXXXXXL cell? Bitch can go back to regular size while everyone else is stuck on a normal size cell.
>>84146968
The Saudis are some sick fucks.
bumping for others.
I absolutely refuse to let this thread die.
What's worth getting in the Millarworld sale on comixology, /co/?
>>84152855
starlight and the jupiter stuff
>>84152855
>>84152986
yeah, everything else is kinda wack, though Wanted has one of the funniest last pages in any comic
>>84153469
It's crazy how turned around his writing is like did he just get bored of being an edgy fuck or what?
>>84153535
i think a lot of it him following market trends desu, stuff like Empress and that new Kick Ass is so transparently him trying to hop on the ~diverse casts~ thing (which i don't personally have a problem with but i don't believe he would've given a shit about it if he didn't think he could make some big bux along the way)
and tbf, the first comic he wrote that was any good were those Superman Adventures in the late 90s, stuff like Starlight and Superior are kinda returns to that
>>84153535
I'm guessing that the film industry told him that you can't put shit like that in movies, and since his comics are literally film pitches by his own admission that meant there was no point in spending all that time writing edgy scenes that weren't going to end up in the movie anyway.
>>84153535
Millar goes where the money is.
I'd also recommend MPH
>>84153733
>>84153794
>>84153873
Fair enough as long as I get more cool shit in the jupiter universe i'm fine with this development.
>>84144843
Do I have to read Jupiter Circle before reading Jupiter Legacy 2?
>>84154049
They give you a lot of backstory on the superheroes.
>>84154100
Including why Utopian stagnated. He didn't want to prove Ayn Rand right
>>84154100
that's nice but is it necessary? I want to jump right into this after reading Jupiter Legacy 1
>>84154306
Yeah honestly you don't need to everything is pretty much self explanatory but I would recommend reading circle though it's pretty good.
>>84154306
Yes. Very necessary.
Especially for Skyfox.He comes back
>>84154049
No.
>>84154306
No. This continues from where the rest of Legacy left off. Each mini is self-contained.
>>84154463
It's NOT necessary. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.
You're also all forgetting about theMotherBoxfrom Circle.
If ya don't think that won't come up again in Legacy or in "Jupiter's 3", then it's a kinda thing Millar seemed to place at the forefront.
>>84154566
Completely necessary.
WithSkyfox's return in 2 issuesit goes over his entire deal with Brainwave.
>>84154603
Bruh it's really not skyfox and brainwave will most likely talk during or before their fight and exposition will most certainly be had the dude can read whatever he wants.
>>84154679
A few lines of explaining don't really hold a candle to actually seeing how it played out.
Especially given that ending. Which was great, and honestly made this second half of Legacy so much more exciting.
I'm just saying it's necessary if the anon wants to really get the most out of it. It's not like the Star Wars prequels which don't add anything and could be glossed over. It's something that actually enriches. And should be read.
Instead of some few lines of dialogue.
Anon asked if it was necessary, and my view is yes.
SuperCrooks can be skipped though.
>>84154802
Are they still gonna show up or was that changed because the crew they have so far is completely different.
>>84154874
Well, the Heat showed up in Circle. That was fun.
But overall all Millar said is they'd get a cameo.
Whether that means one page or a tiny subplot has yet to be seen.
I think they might get something juicy near the end.
Since we know Kristal is Brainwave's daughter...that'd be something to take advantage of.Maybe Skyfox showing that Brainwave never really loved his wife
>>84154935
>the heat
I don't remember that what did he do in circle?
>>84154974
Only in for a couple of panels. He's Skyfox's cellmate next door. Skyfox chats with him before breaking out to kill Brainwave. The Heat jokes about it to the guards.
>>84155040
Oh shit that was him? Wow I must be blimd.
>>84155074
Yeah, not only is he referred to by name, but it was just amazing to see Wilfredo Torres interpret Lenil Yu's design.
It was pretty exciting. In a giddy shared universe way.
>>84155130
Haha just reread and skyfox literally says heat. The resemblance is super obvious too upon closer inspection.
>>84155486
It really also helps foster the idea of Heat and his gang as always being kinda affable.
>>84144843
Finally, though I did just reread all of JL/JC because I was having problems figuring out who the characters in JC were in relation to those in JL.
>>84145275
>he'd love this
Yes, he would.
>>84145340
George aged incredibly well or everybody else aged incredibly bad.
Has Millar ever said where the rest of the heroes came from? Like Teen Scene and the other like 90 in the present that aren't Union kids. One of the Teen Scene kids called Fitz, Uncle Fitz but I couldn't think of any of the Union who would had kids their age
>>84156927
I always imagined that the crew and all just got busy in their youth.
By the time of Circle the heroes had been active for 40ish years.
Just cause Utopian had stayed true to his fiancee then wife, don't mean the others had to.
Also,
>>84152051
you surprised by this?
>>84146026
>>84146124
>>84147753
>>84154802
How was Supercrooks?
>>84154370
>>84154534
>>84154566
Circle is kinda necessary to see the Brainwave/Skyfox thing, how their heroics actually barely had any effect on the world's progress and probably for thatancient civilization box/tape recorder/message that Utopian found on Jupiter
>>84157050
SuperCrooks was good fun.
4 issues and fast paced enough at that.
>>84156993
Kinda agreed, but even then, that would only leave 3 people left to have like 60-70 kids. This is assuming the people in the Union are the ones who went to the Island which after writing all this out, seems unlikely
And Walter doesn't seem like he would go around banging chicks and ignoring his kids.
George maybe. Fitz/Flare maybe but he was with his wife since he was 20, which is another thing that doesn't make sense.
Unless Fitz wasn't one of the people originally on the island.
Island was '32, JC is in '59, and Fitz and his wife don't look above 30 yet it's said they've been together since they were in their 20's.
So maybe Fitz' dad was one of the original guys that went to the island, retired, and one of his kids (Fitz) took his spot in the Union.
Thinking out loud
>>84157158
Cool, I'll check it out
>>84157266
They mention knowing Fitz's wife since they were in school.
So...I think they're all meant to be island originals.
Also, you're forgetting about the crew.
Which was a sizable number.
>>84157313
>They mention knowing Fitz's wife since they were in school.
>So...I think they're all meant to be island originals.
Oh, that's right
She could have been part of the crew I guess
>>84146141
Tattoo a slut. A slut.
Or her mama is, idk.
>>84147817
It's an Omega level power, not even Superman can do it.
>>84145275
>You'll never make a power rod out of household items
>>84146065
Looks like a Mondrian.....
>>84158925
Those are clearly her kids.

More like 3.
>>84144843
Frank Quitely wasting years on a comic by Mark "no discernable talent" Millar
>>84165005
>being this dumb
It's not about the quality of Millar's writing that Quietly is invested in, it's because Millar can sell the movie rights and get them both paid.
>>84147442
mebe in dystopian future, rampant deflation.
