Why ?
>>
Who said the movie takes place in 1840?
>>
I never watched Frozen. It's set in a era of time?

I thought it was just magic fairytale land

Not sure why that's so difficult to understand, it's hardly the only movie to do that.

It says in the art book that they aimed for an 1840's setting.
Also the map in Frozen Fever literally says 1840 in the corner.

It's a cartoon, dude.

C'mon senpai.

Who cares? It's not really that important.

Certainly less so than the fact Elsa has yet again created living beings out of ice. Which is a thing she can do. Of which Disney will never explore the full implications.

those bare arms and legs are pretty slutty

And that map could be 50 years old.

What is there to explore? She is a god. Not omnipotent, but certainly a deity of some description. She is already more powerful than certain Greek deities.

They seem to be made of aspects of Elsa's psychology, so are they truly people or just extensions of her? How do Olaf and Marshmallow factor into court politics? Is Olaf technically heir to the throne? How do the people of Arendelle view their Queen's creations?

There are questions to be fielded here.

They don't.
He's not.

>How do the people of Arendelle view their Queen's creations?
Probably mildly weirded out.

Why is Elsa dressed up like Tinkerbell?
>>
>>84130086
>Is Olaf technically heir to the throne?
That's not how thrones work. Him being a commoner, Olaf would NEVER be a king, he would just be "Prince Consort", like Prince Philip the husband of Queen Elizabeth II.

Wife of a king is just Princess Consort and is only called a "queen" as a formality. This is all determined a long time ago, it's just that fairytales tend to avoid explaining it to children.

Animation isn't somehow mutually exclusive with historical accuracy.
>>
>>84130231
Anon, please.
The novel of Peter And Wendy wasn't released until 1911. Clearly it's Tinkerbell that's dressed like Elsa, not the other way around.
>>
>>84130314
In Princess Dairies, the protagonist was told that she need to find a husband to go with her status as a future queen, so she said that she was willing to consider marrying prince William. But it was outright rejected as William has his own throne to inherit, so they can't actually get together unless this actually was a deliberate attempt to merge the two thrones together (done many times in the Middle Ages). And that really can't be done anymore because kings and queens don't run nations like that these days.
>>
>>84130342
Actually the Praxinoscope wasn't invented until 1877, and cel animation wasn't invented until 1910, so any animation in 1840 is historically inaccurate.
>>
>>84131665
That's obviously not what anyone is talking about.
