I used to be up with it, but I just fell out of interest. I'm not someone who's ever dropped anything before like that, but something just didn't feel right. I might give it a little bit and catch up on the episodes again, maybe the break helped kill it for me, but i am caught up right now.
Thanks, but no character will ever make me as comfortable and happy as wander did, when he cried it was a genuinely sad scene, even with the stupid "we need it to be funny and over the top" style craig wanted in the flower. He says some of the legitimately nicest things I've never heard on a cartoon or series before
Wander really did something for me. I'm not the kind of person on this site that says "i suffer from depression" or anything like that, but I don't really have anything that makes me extremely happy either. I'm probably just dead in the center of emotions. Wander was the only thing that made my chest warm and all that jazz, aside from some real life stuff, cartoon wise, he's it.
Back to what you were doing, Steven's never really gave me that feeling, he's alright, but they're not as focused on him being the pure good and happy character so much as just a human who wants to do right and believes in justice. his emotions are played out normal (or sometimes over done) it's just not like Wander where he goes out of his way to please everyone at all costs like in The Nice Guy, that episode got me really good.

The monkey we saw in The Waste Of Time. Everyone assumed that it was Hater when he was organic because they look eerily similar. The problem I have with it though is that this was already debunked by the crew, and there was also a deleted scene from that same episode where Hater was seen as a teenager and already a skeleton

In 'The Waste of Time' you can see a quick shot of a monkey in an astronaut suit screaming. Craig called him 'Monkey Boy' and said he would be very important in Season 3. When they learned the show wasn't continuing, Craig snuck him in anyways. His head shape is very similar to Hater's, suggesting a connection.
With the credits scene for this finale, the link only seems stronger... But we'll never know for sure.

Did you guys catch the space vehicle in the post credits scene? That pretty much confirms the Hater = Monkeyboy theory. I was pretty sad that they didn't bring it up in the finale, outside of the nod in the post credits scene.
So Hater was a space chimp who died and got magical powers, via some freak accident. This plot line is the only reason I really want a S3.
There's only one hope left and it's showing Disney a demand for comics. The ratings are too low for them to think continuing the show is a good idea; it's just not going to happen.
This is what #SaveWOY should shift gears to... Although I don't know Disney's status with comic adaptations.

Was wonders me more is that Earth seems to be part of the galaxy the series takes place in, considering that the space cube couldn't have travelled hundreds of lightyears. I also wonder how old Hater actually is or when this series takes place. I always assumed it was 1000+ years in the future (by Earth standards), but either is Hater fucking old or there isn't that much time that has passed and it all takes place in our present time.

Well, they're companies, they mainly care about profits first and foremost, it's generally up to the consumers to show companies what they want.
Sadly, cartoon shows that want to last tend to need more than just viewers to be considered successful enough to warrant more seasons, namely toys, collectibles and etc and I recall Disney thought they saw no potential in that.

Something that honestly unsettles me about Wander as a character is that, if he were on Earth during WWII, he would try to befriend and redeem old Adolf, and when he sees the concentration camps, he'd just react with an "OH GOLLY!" and claim Hitler would be attending a few awkward Bar Mitzvahs.
Not everyone is redeemable and it bothers me that Wander never really had to accept that.

We were never going to get a Wander origin. Craig doesn't even know what Wander's real name is and someone else who works on the show said they only wanted to tell one origin story (Hater's). Dominator, they've always been keen on keeping as mysterious as possible, and they even left why she stole Hater's style open-ended (I favor the suggestion that he used to be her evil role model, as Major Threat was to Hater).
We were definitely going to see more of Sylvia's past and the Hater and Peepers story would have been legendary.

My main complaint with Dominator is that we've moved past the point where we can't have a successful, ruthless female character without her having to remind the characters and the audience that she's Not Like Other Girls. It's dated and hamfisted that she has to sing about not being the damsel in distress. We know this. We are capable of taking a powerful woman at face value.

First off, I'm immensely disappointed with how they just made Dominator a "one-dimensional' bad guy from start to finish. I had hopes that she would show some form of humanity and just a tiny bit of insight into HER backstory. But NOPE, she came in as a one-note villain, so she leaves as a one-note villain.
Second ( and I know this is because the cancellation was so abrupt), the fact that the ended it with a 'Status Quo is God' tagline before that space-monkey cliffhanger made me want to punch my computer.
When I watch a show coming to an end, I usually have HIGH expectations. When they do not meet any of them, I feel a sense of betrayal.

I think one of the crew's post said that they wanted to give more background to all four(?) main characters. Hater might have gotten most of it but I bet they also meant to give Silvia and Dom more in-deep characterization, even if it's just flashbacks.
I also really wonder if Dominator's copying-Hater highjinks were really just coincidence/plot device to top Hater and make him mad or if there was a story behind it. The most probable explanation would be that Hater was the most popular conqueror before Dominator went into full villain mode and she just copied his distinctive features because they were what people associated with power during that time.

What everybody refuses to understand about US TV ratings is that they have very little to do with actual audience viewership. Unless you have a Nielsen box plugged in to your home (which almost nobody does, as you have to be selected by the Nielsen Company for the privilege), no data is being collected on your viewing habits.

It sounds like you're basing this all on that episode of roseanne from the 90's where they get a box.
The box is probably their least used method now for gathering data as it actually requires external hardware when there are many digital software means to collect data much cheaper these days.

Tv ratings are shit anyway. They should just put everything on netflix or something and judge by views. I didn't even watch shows on tv when I still used it and rather recorded it since I was often away or doing something else when stuff started airing. Not to mention that many series need some time to get enough fans. I didn't even know WoY existed until season 2 started.
