Thus far, the tone seems a lot funnier and sillier than 100. Once shit started going down in 100, there were practically no jokes. People dying were for the most part treated as something horrifying and disturbing.

Iunno. I don't know what to expect yet. We haven't had a good page in a while, it's been meandering without really being funny. Something will eventually happen, but it's hard to know if and how it'll move the story forward. It seems likely that we won't go to hell (too predictable) but instead a bunch of unimportant characters with zero development are going to get killed off while (most of) the main cast continues on.
Personally I'm just liking Pasqualo less and less. His speech with Lodge really rubbed me the wrong way, she turned into a strawman and it seems like we were supposed to side with Pasqualo despite him acting like a complete sociopath recently. I don't know if Gob intended that or not, it wouldn't be outlandish for this unease to be deliberate for something coming up but it could just be shit writing too. I guess I want some explanation on why Pasqualo can get away with walking past a pile of corpses of the people he swore to protect to go tell Ally about his dumb dream and that's just so distracting that I can't really care about whether we'll be doing the exact same shit in Hell or not.

Agreed, I haven't liked post-timeskip Pasqualo at all. He's evil, but not in the innocent way that he used to be. Lodge was 100% in the right with her speech.
Pre-timeskip Pasq did some morally questionable shit, sure. Namely terrorizing Maddie's family and the High School incident. But in these cases he was just having fun, and nobody got (physically) hurt except for people even worse than him.
Post-timeskip Pasq seems to have no quarrel with killing. I don't know if killing his mom fucked him up or what, but nowadays he's just this lanky shit who doesn't care about anything unless it directly affects him. He only gave a shit that he killed Marlon because it meant that Katie might be mad at him. After he got back to school after Elvis, he literally shouted about how everyone in the room was his friend, and he would dedicate his strong cock to protecting his friends because they gave him a chance when he didn't deserve one.
That Pasq is my favorite Pasq. He knows he's not perfect but that's okay. He's gonna try his hardest to do his thing. And if it means scaring the piss out of some survivors, so be it.
Now he goes out on antics with no regard for anyone but himself, Ally, and Katie. Everyone else is a spectator to his emperorship. Instead of the pre-timeskip "DUDE WE'VE GOT A CHICKEN STORE NOW," it's become "DUDE WE'VE FORCIBLY CONQUERED EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA TO A DEGREE THAT GUERRILLA FORCES ATTACK US DAILY." I don't know how I'm supposed to like this new Pasqualo. Besides brief moments where the old him shines through, he's a completely different character from the one that fucking carried the first few hundred strips on his glorious back.
I hope something snaps him back to his old self, because at this rate he'll remain like the 11th best character in this comic.

He wasn't a saint by any measure and was certainly self centered, but he didn't have this weird "I'm evil but not really" thing going on where he allows people to die so he can do dumb bullshit. He freaked out and broke down when people died, he was unable to forgive Aurora over killing all those people, and he's had these moments where he's learned to put others first. And he's always been sympathetic. But now he's a giant prick that seems to believe he's so much better now, even getting strangely sanctimonious about it as other characters fail to acknowledge it.

Have they been raiding for supplies? They seem to be pretty clear about having a grudge against Pasqualo specifically. He's got a lot of schools piled up but not a corresponding increase in residents. Given that there's armed foot soldiers and armies, it seems awfully unlikely that people were never killed in these takeovers. And considering Pasqualo is effectively immune to mundane weaponry, there's really no reason anyone other than him should be fighting. He could single handedly subdue these people without hurting anyone if he actually gave a fuck. Aurora herself is capable of magically getting people to take a chill pill and she's done stuff like teleport all turtlenecks and turtles to another galaxy, why isn't she part of the defenses? Why are they suddenly reliant on lethal force now when they weren't back then?
