I heard somewhere that killing all mosquitoes wouldn't do shit to the environment because mosquitoes contribute nothing and the things that eat them also eat other things

basically hurry up and find a way to kill all mosquitoes, science

This was the most hilariously over the top comic. I wonder if Marvel editorial was even paying enough attention to the 2099 line to notice what Mills was doing on this book with making fun of the very same 90s XTREME! faggotry that they specialized in at the time.

Basically it's the store charging you extra, because they can. Like a shipping and handling fee.
The real bugbear is that delivery drivers, like waiters, get paid less than minimum wage because we get tips, but nobody is under any obligation to actually give said tips.

Jupiter Ascending is fucking great. The acting and plot are dire and it doesn't matter because it just fucking goes for it and none of that is the reason why you're watching the movie. It's like Pacific Rim or Gods of Egypt.

I would actually give Stan 2099 at least a tryout issue. Stan writing Stan in a future Corporatocracy has kek potential.

An Issue of Venom available purely through UNICEF sold more copies than 90% of all books this year. I don't know if that's all speculator boom, but it's certainly something.

>For me it depends on the character. for swamp thing I'm good just reading Moore to start.

See, I'd argue especially in that case, since Moore drew heavily from previous runs. You'd not care about Matthew Cable if you started with him, and seeing what happened to Liz wouldn't have the same punch if you didn't know what she WAS like.
That said, early volume two was a freaking chore, and I couldn't give less if a fuck about that Anti-Christ story. Of course, my reading habits are why I do long-term storytimes, so it's a mixed bag.

Yeah. I think we may actually be right in the middle of Maximum Carnage actually. One of the Bulletins a few issues ago was about Green Jello. Oh. And this one mentions it too.

So we're like... two years away from it or thereabouts? No, wait. 1 year. Because they're hyping Amazing 390 and Ben is back by 400.

2099 has the BEST religions.
TotIFO feels like it could be a Dire Wraith plot. Or Skrull plot.
Shapeshifter alien plot.

I hate to be that guy, Storyteller, but Jared's never coming back. He is viewed as an ugly stain on the Dr. Fate legacy. It sucks and it's entirely unfair, but it's the truth.

We may luck out with L.E.G.I.O.N though. There are writers that actually acknowledge them at least.

I can't decide if the death of X variants are deliberate trolling in response to "Marvel hates the X-men now" or if it's just tone deafness

I am leaning towards the latter considering how bad they fucked up the "Men of Marvel" covers
