Doubt it. Zoss, as he has shown so far, and as far as my judge of character is, doesn't seem like the kind of dick bag to do that. I mean he broke into heaven, killed the angels and took god's name so he could create a grand kingdom of learning and growth. Plus he called Allison his redeemer, and it's clear that she is the heir to Zoss' throne. You can't be the heir if the old king kicks you aside to take over instead.

You forget that Allison has been at this for like three days at the most, shes been thrown into the deep end and made to learn how to swim, but that doesn't mean she can't be given a bit of advice, after all, she has THE strongest thing in the multiverse in her head, so it's reasonable that Zoss would lend her a bit of help, he's kind of wagering everything on her, and will probably pop up now and then to keep her on the right path so she doesn't waver or fall to temptations like the Seven did.
Having someone help you doesn't tarnish a character's personal growth, especially if they are low on the rung as Allison is.

"Sky God" is quite a bit wider term than Indo-European chief God. Ra is a sky God as well, but has fuck all in terms of similarities to dudes like Zeus or Thor or Indra. The Greeks themselves tended to identify El with Cronus, not Zeus.
Now obviously there's been a ton of cross-pollination between Semitic and Indo-European mythologies, but that doesn't mean that the myths in question are Indo-European in origin, or even have a singular origin altogether.

I feel like he showed up because of her character growth, not that he caused it. She was strong, and he countered only a momentary faltering in her badassedness. That faltering was honestly kind of poorly done, in my opinion, since it exists entirely within a single panel. I think Abby should have combined the dialogue of that panel and its predecessor in a different way, maybe with an intermediate panel, because the "fuck it oh god" transition of double sequential realizations of that nature doesn't really work.
