Nah m8, spongebob was never as consistent.
I do agree that animation and some stilk frames on spongebob where superior to the simpsons.

The Simpsons only started a decade before Spongebob. So, really, what you're saying is...
>REMEMBER THE 90's?
>>84028520
THE 90'S WERE SO MUCH BETTER
>>84028532
REMEMBER BOBBY'S WORLD?
The only fair comparison between the two is that they had glorious early seasons and now they're just walking corpses of their former glory being milked for money.

Spongebob is better. The jokes are just funnier and more classic.

IT WAS A GOOD SHOW

YOU'RE TOO YOUNG TO REMEMBER
IT WAS A GOOD SHOW
The Simpsons:
+More good seasons
+Wide cast, more experimentation
-Relied too much on pop culture sometimes
Spongebob:
+No reliance on pop culture
+Experimental
-fewer good seasons
-limited cast
Old Simspons, not even a contest.
Also Spongebob was always shit.

I think if you showed a person in 20 years both shows and they had absolutely no knowledge of/nostalgia for them whatsoever, they'd probably enjoy classic Spongebob more. Classic Simpsons is better, but its tied to a particular cultural context.
>>84028581
Spongebob is too annoying as a character, it undermines the jokes
>>84028565
Spongebob has been decent recently.
Are there any modern Simpsons episodes on par with seasons 1-11?

>including the edgy Scully seasons
Kill yourself my man.
Season 10 lacked emotional episodes, but it was probably the single funniest season ever.
classic simpsons is a contender for all time greatest tv show
