Not true. Magic Missile states that you have to be able to see the target in order to hit it. If you choose 'The Darkness' as your target, you are not aiming at a creature in the darkness, only the darkness itself. You'd have to know the creature was there and be able to see it at least vaguely.

If I was ruling this as a DM, I would allow the Magic Missile to reach the edge of the darkness and fizzle out. The moment the edge of the target (darkness) is touched, the spell's parameters are met. The illumination caused by the magic missile might be enough to reveal creatures hiding in the darkness (momentarily), but it certainly wouldn't damage them.

Not that guy, but find me the wording for Magic Missile from any edition of D&D, and pretty much all of them state that you need a specific target. It's not strategy if it doesn't work.

Yet rules for magic missile say you must choose a target you can see. No DM worth his salt would ever let you use that tactic. You want to flail around in the dark with spells? Try an acid arrow, a fireball, cloudkill, whatever. Not spells that specifically state that they need a target you can see.

5-10 hours. There's not a lot of voice acting, but the writing is there. It's basically an RPG, but also relies on reaction time for double attacks and defending. It uses SU's distance models, so everyone has の eyes.
