DC's merger is not a coincidence Mr Myxlplyx, has noted Marvel Vs Capcom and decided to throw the DC multiverse into the mix for entertainment though it is further destabilizing the capcom multiverse due to previous crossover such as Marvel, Tekken, Tatsuniko, SNK. Darkseid who is unaware of Myxlplyx's interference sees this new multiverse as an opportunity for new conquest and due to the Capcom Multiverses unstable nature as a forward base to expand into other multiverses. Darkseid manipulates Capcom and DC characters to fight each other so he can sweep in and overwhelm both multiverses easily. Eventually one champion rises and defeats darkseid and unravels Myxlplyx's plot, the specter comes in in the end and separates the multiverses but warns everyone that a great cataclysm is approaching that will affect many multiverses all at once.
