A lot of these "character falls from the real world into a fictional one" stories go wrong when the character becomes a mary sue or they are magically a prodigy instantaneously, or everyone else goes stupid to make sure that they can actually do something in thr story and not get instantly killed.
Gwen is a fuck-up, granted a fuck up with potential, but it's made very clear that she's only gotten this far through luck, and that the narrative around her could very easily change and reverse that.
Doubly so now that she's "officially" part of the Marvel universe, so all the laws that govern and restrict the other characters now apply to her as well. I wouldn't be surprised to see if her outside knowledge of the universe starts to fade too.
