Harper Row is the worst character in the DC universe, then he was one of the best/most likable. It’s like having your favourite TV show replaced in it’s weekly slot by a sport you don’t like, you might ordinarily have ambivalent feelings to say Rugby, but when you’re all settled down to find out what happens next in “the Shield” you go to turn it on and you find rugby has taken it’s place, that ambivalent mild dislike quickly mutate into an active hatred.

he was just incredibly meh and taking up space from other charcters at first. That wasn't so bad, but then B&R Eternal happened. It was advertised as the 75th anniversary of Robin but ended up focusing on Harper Row instead. The only person other than Harper to actually get a somewhat meaningful story from it was Cassandra Cain, and that too because it tied directly to Harper's story. That wouldn't have been awful just as it is but she wasn't written as a very compelling character. She was constantly praised and presented as something great without it ever feeling earned or shown. Heck, she was even declared the perfect candidate, better than everyone else, for Robin. Combine all this with her pushing aside the spotlight from established characters with existing fanbases, it creates resentment.

When he was a supporting character in his book. But they broke up like 2002 or something and it allowed them to grows and individual characters. So they were split up for a good 9-10 years. Then fucking Convergence happened.
They just don't work any more. They were good teenage romance but they're story really shows how people can change and grow apart as you grow up. Like, I can already SEE the inevitable break up. Why dirty these two who will be forced to interact for years to come with baggage stories that have already been told?
