It was alright. There was some humor, but minimum 50% is just straight "lol the 70s happened, remember?". It's like being inside someone else's fond memories.

The story and characters were better than the humor imo.
It did the whole "Woah, we're a cartoon sitcom but really fuckin dark" thing alright. It's worth a watch for how short it is but I don't care if it gets a second season or not. If it does, I'll watch it, if it doesn't, no great loss. It was an ok way to fill the gap between seasons of Bojack. Bojack tends to have a way better sense of humor to go with its darker tone. F is for Family just seemed to play it strait drama most of the time, but with not enough going on to make it interesting.

I watched the first episode and stopped after the dinner table scene where the dad gets really mad at everyone while the telemarketer is calling. I feel like a tard but this show triggers the fuck outta me because my dad was the same but more abusive. Can't find any of that humour funny.

So, I went and saw him not too long ago. The man did, I swear to god, 30 minutes minimum talking about Hitler. 30 minutes of retooling the same joke (basically, Hitler is the ultimate evil despite having a lower kill count than most terrible evil dictators.). I'm glad I didn't pay for the ticket.
