I prefer accuracy over narrative, just because it will be easier to clear with the department head. Like of there is an otherwise fictional comics where everything or basically everything is correct scientifically that would be amazing because it would both be educational and engaging, but if not I'd prefer accuracy with a narrative element to encourage interest

I'm a teacher now. With young children graphic novels are great to get across old Greek mythology stories.
Unfortunately there isn't much merit to them outside of Greek stories unless you're attempting to compare a text to a graphic novel in order to show the differences of the medium like you would a book and a film.
College is where graphic novels start to become relevant, and 90% of the time only autobiographies and a few books that offer occasional artistic craziness of a book to add to the text.
The only "cape" graphic novels I read in college were Dark Knight Returns and V for Vendetta. In Freshman year a teacher tried to float by Volume 1 of Sandman but no one read it.

All the people I graduated with and went to teach in the city are now RAGING racists but only towards blacks.
