Did some truly amazing work. That panel in Year One, where Batman saves the thug he knocked off a fire escape, defines Batman for me. Year One, TDKR, Daredevil, The Last Crusade (though it's new and not as good as TDKR or Y1, it is a worthy addition) are all fantastic. He also did some really shit comics like DKSA or ASBAR (though I still want the last 2 issues).

Miller is pretty good right now, in fact, it should be him trying to curb Azzarello and his azzspeak in DK3, not the other way around, and I'm saying this as a fan of Azzarello.
Miller is mostly criticized for making DKR2, making Holy Terror, and shitting on OWS snowflakes. I guess there is some merit to these criticisms, depends on where you coming from. But I'd take any Miller over these 4-dollar a piece webcomics from the big two, Marvel especially, and failed tv/movie pitches from Image.

Miller and Kirby are way too different to compare. Miller has created classic stories, but Kirby has created a shit ton of characters. I don't really know anyone who comes even close to Kirby.
