>What is this storytime series all about?
Everyday for the month of June 2016 (the rare 616 Month), commemorating the 55th anniversary of Marvel Comics, I storytime certain old Earth-616 Marvel Comics issues on their anniversary/if there's pottery when their respective release dates and volume & issue numbers align. Watch out for the appearances of the numbers 6, 1, and 6, in that order.
>For what purpose?
Milestone celebrations of Earth-616, Universe-7 (the mainstream Marvel Universe before the 2015 event "Secret Wars").
>Where do I find previous storytimes in this series?

>And today I storytime...
The tenth anniversary of the debut issue of Neil Gaiman's The Eternals!

will you commemorate 56th anniversary next year?
>>83950390
Just a one-off storytime month.
>>83950381
The Eternals and the Deviants have been MIA in Marvel for quite some time, they just don't know what to do with them.

>>83950617
The Eternals as guys pretending to be Gods never worked in a Universe whre those Gods are real

Funny how he's pointing out all the plot holes Jack Kirby never thought about
TOMORROW: A TwinĂ—Pack Storytime!

Who's the cover artist?
>>83950463
Wasn't Hickman supposed to work on Eternals post Secret Wars?
>>83950975
He said he wanted to, maybe he will in the new Marvel Now.

Rick Berry
This is SO scientology it hurts
>>83950635
Earth X had my favorite explanation for it but some people got butthurt about it reinforcing the notion that the "real" gods=aliens. Never bothered me though cause the REAL gods of the Marvel universe are the shit like the Celestials and Abstracts.
Anyway I think there's a reason for it in the old stuff too but I can't remember.
I think I bought the trade of this at a flea market ages ago. It was great!

Fuckin' Love this run.
>>83950635
It does, considering that the "real" Gods needed inspiration to be thought into being.
And Eternals have canonically been around for millennia longer than most-all of the myths. Ikaris guided Noah's Ark to land, mang.
>>83950463
They were in both All-New Invaders and New Warriors.

Why do people not like JRJR again?
His style's so grandiose and energetic.
He's the closest we have to modern Kirby.
