Took me years to learn to appreciate the soundtrack for what it is. I liked the film, but I think it doesn't have as many memorable elements as most other Disney films of that era. There is nothing that's really terrible, but there isn't anything that's truly great either.

I was always confused when I was little, because there's that montage of him as a child which ends with him as an adult; if memory serves, he spins into the water as a kid and resurfaces out as a man and I always wondered how the water made him an adult.
The cartoons for Tarzan, Aladdin, and Hercules were cool as shit.

Comes out of fuckin nowhere and absolutely sucks. Doesn't fit with any of the other music in the film (the Phil Collins stuff). You can tell it was shoehorned in because Rosie O'Donnell wanted a song.
