As a side note, good stuff OP.

Does anyone else remember Cartoon Network airing a series of war cartoons in consecutive order once?
Damn I remember that. Toon something with the letters sitting on hay in the background in a wooden box.

I think it's interesting how fast that cartoon came out after pearl harbor and the start of the declared war. Like 3 months. Japan wasn't on a lot of people's radar before pearl harbor.

This video was made in 1941, and is about the draft.

Good stuff. It's a shame there isn't a good version in Youtube, I blame jews.

There were also lots of cartoons about World War I, for years after it ended.

Here's Mickey Mouse in "The Barnyard Battle":
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isHDIoSSl-s

Mickey mouse was just coming out in Germany for the first time when this was made, and the censors there didn't like seeing evil cats wearing German war helmets. This led to it being the first Disney film to be banned, if only in Germany.

Have a classic wartime Looney Tunes short - Plane Daffy. It parodied the infamous Mata Hari who was executed for being a German spy in World War 1.

I could only find a good quality version on DailyMotion
