Korra was bitchy to her at first, but Asami was never anything but kind to Korra, and even told Mako straight to his face that she actually liked Korra and Mako's waffling between them was inexcusable. If I recall, Korra was never unkind to Asami after the first half or two thirds or so of Season 1, and Season 2 had them deal with Mako's stupid waffling again rather politely between them.
Literally the only time there was even anything like "back stabbing" was when Korra went after Mako despite knowing he was in a relationship and that was before she really knew Asami. So it's not so much backstabbing as being a bitch in general.
