I've been the same way, but I do get where people are coming from with this one. There's been a lot of build-up to this conflict over the past few issues, and obviously a strong build-up needs a strong pay-off. I'm not particularly looking for an epic fight for three issues myself, but the scale has been set and something huge would definitely give a stronger sense of pay-off than what we've had in the past.

Honestly, I'd rather have more introspective fortress-squatting than having everything share Tailgate's magic love superpowers, or have them inexplicably able to fight off a hundreds-strong army and the DJD because they're the protagonists. There was literally no way this was going to be an interesting, thrilling fight.

Because when you set up a huge conflict that is probably meant to tie up a bunch of threads, and then spend several issues specifically setting it up, you better fucking go out with a bang, and not a wet shart.
Also because this is still Transformers, a series about giant robots lasering and punching the shit out of each other since it's inception.
I'm kinda hoping when Megatron inevitably joins the fight, he finishes off Overlordby the same method he had defeated Whirl in the first issue of S2 with the portal in his chest.

I agree and disagree. I'm glad we're getting a change of pace with the fight, but just giving everyone superpowers is a very boring solution to the problem. I'd rather they try something like using the Necrobot's teleporter to get onto the warworld and capture it. Boom, we don't have the same characters mulling around the same setting for another couple of issues and we don't have a half-assed way for them to fight their way out of this.
