I enjoy reading stuff like the Ultimates, Young Avengers, and Marvel 2099 because it feels like things are moving beyond the status quo of the 616 universe.
But apparently a literal God, Franklin Richards, is preventing any progress in the Marvel Universe----the Convergence, Civil War, etc-----from having a lasting impact, good or bad (including this Captain Hydra fiasco).
Why is this allowed?

probably not
Because people always go back to what they're familiar with and what's familiar tends to sell.

The old guard gets replaced, long-term plans are eventually forgotten or discarded.

Rebirth is proving this

Franklin Richards hasn't actually prevented any 'progress' really. He was the way to create the Heroes Reborn universe and he is now The Son of the new Holy Trinity of Marvel, but he hasn't actually retconned things. Otherwise he would have undone Civil War and the invasion from the negative zone that he thought killed his uncle.

>Convergence
>Marvel
Do you even read comics?

Convergence, Incursion, same thing more or less

In the same way that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is Captain America: Civil War "more or less."

But the DC choice is better in that comparison.

he's not preventing progress, he's just undoing the damage caused by the Beyonders and Doom. He's had zero influence on Civil War II
