that kinda falls flat when he never had a normal life. his parents were evidently dead already when he got cursed as a lad, so he was a young orphaned lord with only his servants for company. He'd been living away from society long enough that none of the townsfolk noticed the absence of the young nobleman.
like with his life after the curse got broken, and his life if the curse was never broken but Belle stayed after the rose died anyway, the only huge difference would in the latter situation he gets Belle to go out when they need to buy something rather than sending one of the servants
