>As Supergirl prepares to fly faster than a speeding bullet from CBS to the CW, the network has announced that Everybody Wants Some! star Tyler Hoechlin has been cast as Superman/Clark Kent, the first live action television incarnation of the Man of Steel since Smallville starring Tom Welling went off the air in 2011. As previously announced, Superman will make his debut on the DC Television universe, which also includes The Flash, Arrow, and Legends of Tomorrow, at the start of Supergirl‘s second season when he visits Kara in National City.

Just a heads up to any hopefuls, Hoechlin is not that great of an actor. Chews lines and delivers things flatter than they should be often. I take it as a product of him being too nice a guy, like Amell, to really act strongly. Still, a better actor than anyone on Supergirl.

All the GURL power stuff tapers off after the first few episodes and the only one who ever mentions it is Cat Grant, whose character broke the glass ceiling, is grooming Kara to be her eventual successor, and is hilarious anyway so you never notice.

Was just trying to check the photos, they actually showed the body of the guy hired to be the 'Supes' body double in the pilot, and the two other episodes he was in, and while the uniform looks more blue and traditional, you really don't get enough of a look at his body (the most you see is typically from the back or with 'lens-flare' type lighting that makes it hard to tell if he has the trunks on or not.
