I never saw this storytimed ever so let's catch up on Jason Aaron's not-Thor title. This is The Goddamned.I have no idea what this comic is about
Bible fanfic, what all happened that was so shitty God decided to flood the world?
I really liked the first issue but have been trade waiting on it
>>83807314
Sounds cool, I hope it is.
A;right, I'm in.
>>83807666
>Those sixes
>Noah is the bad guy
>>83807704
kek
I like thar Aaron and Guerra are working together again
>>83807900
Again? What did they do before?
>>83807272
Actually someone did story time the first issue then the thread got derailed
It was fun
>>83807928
They worked on Scalped together, probably the best comic Aaron's ever done
>>83807981
Scalped is literally the only Aaron comic I haven't read outside of post-Secret Wars Marvel. I keep meaning to read it/hope someone storytimes it.
>>83808034
It's amazing. I actually just finished it recently, ending hit like a ton of bricks
>>83808114
Damn,maybe I'll storytime it myself
>>83808139
>Adam and Eve shit talking
Seems forced.
>>83808285
I kind of see them like a bitter old married couple.
>>83808315
Yeah, but the dialogue's too much for it.
>>83808400
Thanks
>>83808409
Eh, I'm probably just letting it slide because the rest of the series is just as edgy.
Can Aaron right a sentence that doesn't include some variation of 'fuck'?
And what's with the weird racist stuff?
This is the most recent issue btw.
>>83808472
I like to think that he is selling out with Thor and this is him venting from that.
>>83808495
Oh shit, this is the guy writing Whor?
Now I feel bad for almost enjoying this series.
>>83808519
You'd never even be able to tell huh? Southern Bastards would be a middle ground I'd think
That's it, thanks for reading.
It feels really forced, yet I can't help but enjoy it. Thanks for the share, OP.
Thank to the OP and anons posting.
Will definitely pick it up when it comes out in trade form.
gg op
>>83808835
What do you mean by force? Like where you not expecting a story about Cain and is call Goddamn not to feel like this?
>>83809042
Agreed. The point of this book is that it's meant to be edgy.
It has Cain as the protagonist and Noah as an antagonist set in the Antediluvian world.
Like, I understand if you don't like it because the swearing is too much and what not, but that's kind of the point of the story.
damn I wish there was more it was just getting good
>>83809042
The dialogue, really. I get the idea is edgy, but it has promise. I was hoping it wouldn't have resorted to "fuck" every sentence to tell the story.
Is there more or does the series end there?
>>83809378
It's been delayed endlessly
>>83809378
Next issue is supposed to be next month
>>83809299
It is not resorting to use swears, it is purposely using those words
Man, even at his absolute worst I still like Noah more than Cain.
Bump. Loved it
>>83808551
The weird thing about Aaron is that his good books and his terrible books feel like they're written by two different people.
>>83807314
>Bible fanfic, what all happened that was so shitty God decided to flood the world?
Everything was sarcastic and ironic.
You would have flooded the world too if the entire world turned into San Francisco.
>>83814183
>God floods the world because we won't stop building prime real estate on fucking flood plains
I could see it.
Bump-skadoodle-doo
>>83809989
>It is not resorting to use swears, it is purposely using those words
Either/or, it's still obnoxious.
>>83807856
Why didn't he just jump into lava?
>>83818063
He did. It didn't work.
see:
>>83807987
>>83808089
>Fucking badass Cain on a fucking dinosaur
in the preapocalyptic biblical wasteland
top kek
>>83808139
Good lord this dialogue.
>>83808570
God this dialogue...
>>83808668
How come that this one-handed cripple little shit become a gang leader? Shit, I starting to like this comic less and less.

Well, he hardly comes across as a nice dude in the bible. After the flood ends, he gets completely shitfaced-drunk and passes out naked in his tent. His son, Ham, comes in and sees him in that embarrassing state, and Noah decides that all of Ham's sons and all of their descendants for all time will be slaves - treated like fucking livestock - until the end of time as punishment for Ham having noticed that his father was blackout drunk. Punishing children for something that they didn't even do, before they were even born, when really it was Noah himself who was out of control and being a complete sack of shit.
I have no problem with depicting a wretched, alcoholic slaver this way.
bump so i can read it later
Reading bump
>>83808139
Do it. Be the change you want to see
>>83821283
I have it downloaded, I'm going to do it.eventually
>>83807272
The goddamned what?
>>83821521
The goddamned Batman.
Thanks OP,really enjoyed this.
Hmm, not bad.
The dialogue can be a bit obnoxious at times, but in general, this is probably one of the better portrayals of Cain. And one of the more interesting portrayals of Noah, too.
Fucking bump
>>83820078
They didn't just see Noah drunk. Most scholarship points towards them making a fool of him in some way. Mocking him as he wandered around naked, molesting him or taking advantage of him somehow.
>>83808472
What racist stuff?
>>83808610
Is the mark him having a small dick? Does it glow in the dark? Why don't can't these guys see? Faith protection? Iron protecting them from magic?
This is really edgy, good though.
>>83827781
The perfect original humans are white.
Their degenerate descendants are black.
>>83808472
casual comic book fan here. Loving this so far except the dialogue. Aaron can make a story move just fine and I'm hooked but god damn reading some these lines is just hard. can't look away though. thanks OP
>>83814021
>two
I think it has a lot to do with editorial oversight, if you look at his better books (Scalped, Southern Bastards, Ghost Rider) they tend to be indie titles or low profile titles he has a lot of freedom with. When he's on a higher profile book (Whor) he loses basically everything interesting about his writing.
>>83808048
motherfuck. Wasn't expecting that.
>>83808416
This is a pretty good page.
