Just make her origin part of the plot of the movie.
Colossus' little sister who gets kidnapped by a demon and learns magic in hell. Maybe ignore the ages 10 years part and just start her off as a teenager.
Hell you could combine it with Inferno a bit, Illyana gets kidnapped and the X-men want to go rescue her but are distracted when New York becomes a literal hell on Earth and have to fight an army of demons, Marvel movies love having heroes fight huge hordes of enemies. She comes in to save the day with her soulsword and joins the team.

I'd rather they do it in flashbacks, similar to how what happened to her was a mystery for a couple years in the comics. If they're doing Demon Bear as pretty much everyone speculates then that works even better. Remember, originally most of the team didn't trust or like her once she revealed her magical powers. She's the most effective X-character against magical enemies so having her be distrusted will help the plot from ending in 10 minutes. If she proves to be popular you can expand on her backstory in future movies.
