>Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?!

The end of the world happened.
But four unlikely characters made it.
Now they must find a way out of a maze.
And hopefully into something more groovy...

This is-
Scooby-Apocalypse #2: Meddling Kids

And here we go...

Damn right you did, Daphne.
Good job.

Fin, for this month.

Not only that but more Shaggy and Velma bonding over stuff

Still not feeling the dialogue. Sometimes brevity is the source of wit.
>>
>>83792964
We have this, or >>83792992 and we really will have a complete Scooby Doo experiance

>>
>>83792997
I really just want to hear the VA's tackle this dialogue.
>>
>>83793044
With how many Scooby DTV's they give out each year, I'll be sad if they never adapt this.
>>
>>83793096
It wouldn't even need to be a real adaptation.
But it would be a great way of promoting the comic.

Like a small minute long motion comic-esque ad of scenes from a few issues.
>>
>>83793112
yep, hopefully it happens!
>>
>>83793293
Well the second WWE crossover movie is next coming out this Fall. Next year is some movie title Scooby Doo WIld West, and an untitled movie. Then two more movies in 2018. So it's going to be a while if they are going to make it.
>>
Great comic really! Kudos to Giffen for this!

Fixed for /co/'s typical 'words words words' audience

True, they did a adaption of geoff johns justice league like 2 years after it though, so that makes sense.

>>
>>83792219
Velma's glasses eyes are wigging me out. Especially that third panel.
>>
>>83793589
I think it'll turn out that she doesn't have eyes.
It's just her hi-tech glasses doing the work.
>>
>>83792234
Wow, that is genuinely unsettling.
>>
>>83793650
Aw man. That would be messed up.

I hope that happens. Would bring a great new twist to her other catch phrase.
>>
>>83793723
>that gag with her not being able to see

I didn't even think of that.
It's definitely something GIffen would think of.

>>
>>83793650
Seeing when she was punched out, I'd say you're correct. >>83792359
Or they forgot to do her eyes.
>>
>>83794218
It would add a bit more to her motivations for joining this experiment at least.
>>
>>83793589
>Velma's glasses eyes are wigging me out. Especially that third panel.

Velma and Shaggy are both so goddamn GROSS.

Velma is an actual midget, moves her hands like a monkey and has her mouth open at wide, muppet-y angles all the time. I want so badly to like her but the artist wants to make her a mix of Mini-Me, Kermit and Professor Frink. The CHARM of her previous incarnations is missing.
>>
>>83794252
Yeah, she has that "mole man" anti-social mad scientist thing going on.
But some of her expressions do come of as actually endearing in this one.

Like Fred being proactive, I think it's gonna be all set-up for this first arc.
>>
>>83792952
Traps, always traps.
>>
>>83794328
She is actually written well, though the comic seems to like punishing her—it will lose me if it brings in Marcie or another of her love interests only to turn them into a monster and destroy them.
>>
>>83792370
Fred lied about having his eyes closed and not killing the monster here. Considering how guilty Daphne feels about shooting the other monster, it's kind of shitty on Fred to not mention he just killed one himself.

I wonder if that'll come up later.
>>
>>83794606
I actually thought that it was kind of nice.
They don't need to know that another person was just murdered by their group.
Too much at stake.

>>83794592
I always thought the main 4 were enough.
>>
>>83794630
That's true, I didn't think of it that way; they didn't need the extra guilt on their consciousnesses there.
>>
>>83794630
>I always thought the main 4 were enough.

Why? This world would be richer with Red Herring, Angel Dynamite (blanking on her real name), the Hex Girls, and Marcie in there somehow.
>>
>>83794721
As one and done-rs sure.
But I always preferred the road tripping experience to the Gang having settled somewhere.
>>
>>83794721
An Adam Wesker type would be a pretty interesting addition to the comic, someone like Ben Ravencroft would be nice.
>>
>>83794742
Ravencroft would fit incredibly nicely in explaining why people turned into more overt monster archetypes
>>
>>83794721
>Angel Dynamite
Cassidy Williams?
>>
>>83794778

Thanks. Yeah, that's her.
>>
>>83794738
>As one and done-rs sure.
>But I always preferred the road tripping experience to the Gang having settled somewhere.

I like both—I'd be fine with the idea that these ancillary characters are traveling around too in this postapocalyptic mess and occasionally meet/help/hinder our main gang.

From the previews, I know we've already got goddamn Scrappy in this kind of role, so I'd like some more sympathetic side characters to be there as well.
>>
>>83794857
Was that tiny dog in the first issue actually Scrappy?
>>
>>83794918
Yeah.
He's the main villain of the first arc.

Him and the rest of the Doo Family.

>>83794857
Hex Girls would be choice then
>>
>>83794776
I'd like to see him going around deliberately fucking over the gang, until he's forced into a corner and becomes something like a disgustingly horrific and deformed version of the Flatwoods Monster.
>>
>>83794950
Has the bigger gray dog been confirmed as Scooby-Dum or not?
>>
>>83794969
I think that might have been Scooby Dee.
The black one was possibly Scooby-Dum
>>
So which of the movies are you hoping to see represented in this comic?
Not a movie, but I'll be upset if the Space Kook never makes an appearance. He's the fucking best
>>
>>83795045
The wraiths, always the wraiths.
And, honestly...I want some Spooky Island love
>>
This is so much better than it deserves to be.

So, we're any of these monsters from the old cartoon? Didn't recognize any.

Weird, it was completely different from the solicitations which said they'd have to fight Scrappy Doo and the mutant mutts.
>>
Can someone explain the background of the characters in this serie ?
They are not quite the same as the originals, right ?

Are the still high schooler ?
>>

>Almost everyone in the world gets turned into horrible mutant monsters
That's pretty cool
also kinda hot
>>
>>83792271
Ah, so it seems there's going to be a lot of casualties throughout this story.
>>
Seems like the pacemaker might have something to do with why Dr. Krebs didn't transform. Maybe being part machine provides an immunity?
>>
Thanks for the storytime, this shit is bananas. Bought and subscribed.

Now it just needs Hot Dog Water for Velma to make out with and it'll be a solid 10/10.

Oh yea, because that always works out so well.
>>
>>83796152
Shaggy is hired as dog trainer.
Scooby is prototype of some dog/machine hybrid, forgot what he was supposed to be. Combat dog but he was too cowardly?
Daphne is rich but she has TV show on some lame TV station that nobody watches.
Fred is her cameraman.
Velma is scientist and Shaggy's boss, she was there trying to save the world with some other scientists and they turned out to be megalomaniacs so she ditched them.
>>
>>83792293
>Scooby Doo: The Umbrella Chronicles
I can dig it.
>>
>>83796088
>Weird, it was completely different from the solicitations which said they'd have to fight Scrappy Doo and the mutant mutts.

Maybe someone at parent company Warner decided they were tired of Scrappy as a villain, even though it was always OK before now, and demanded the original storyline be thrown out. Middle management is like that.
>>
>>83797242
>Now it just needs Hot Dog Water for Velma to make out with and it'll be a solid 10/10.

YES please, but the writers honestly write like they've never seen SDMI, so I sure don't expect her to show up
>>
>>83797526
Weird, they had the backup in the first issue where they show up.

I wouldn't want Fred or Daphne blowing them away with guns though, so it might be for the best.
>>
>>83792318
>Bring up family
>"Can you stop bringing up my family!?"

Okay
>>
>>83797272
The speech bubble was lined up weord. I think he was talking, not Daph in that second to last panal.
>>
>>83793112
>Like a small minute long motion comic-esque ad of scenes from a few issues.

Or they could not do motion comic nonsense and just do a 10 minute short or something, similar to the DC Showcase ones.
>>
>>83797484
>Combat dog but he was too cowardly?

It was explained right in the first issue. He was too dumb.
>>
>>83797922
I was just talking about the minimum they could do, solely as an advert.

So there's a theory going around that Scooby Apocalypse, Wacky Raceland and if they ever do it, the Jetson's are all connected.

Basically the Apocalypse in Scooby Apocalypse is what leads to the Jetson's living in cloud cities since it's the only safe place and Wacky Raceland is a television show ran by a Grandmaster/Collector type character who picks out random people and has them fight for their lives as entertainment for the people in the cities above. With Utopia being the city where he/she functions from.
>>
