Batman is wrong, as he have been all this saga from the very beginning. Changing the past will cause something even worst than this. If Flash manages to change history, I'm pretty sure this will only cause the Earth being destroyed. Without the violent Superman, I doubt the Earth would have survived the Atlantis War in Year 1, Apokolips' attack in Year 1, the Olympian' invasion in Year 4 and all the other attacks against Earth since then. I'm sorry, but like it or not, the Earth DOES need the Regime and its violent rule.
It's obvious that this plot will fail, as in posterior issues, the war between Batman and Superman will continue. However, whatever changes Barry will cause to reality, I'm pretty sure it will used to explain the different, non-sense errors in continuity with the game:
+ Shazam wearing a black cape.
+ Metropolis reconstructed after teh event 5 years ago?

It's a plausible thing that she's the one that busts him out. That said I don't think the trailer should be considered an indicator of the story considering that they were all out for each other's blood. First Superman wanted Flash dead, then Batman "saves" Superman by attacking Flash, followed by Aquaman butting in, then Superman sucker punches Batman, and it all comes to an end of all of them leaping into each other.
