I've been reposting my shit for weeks and anyone that posts in these threads know its more of a discussion thread
>>83751257
You missed one
> Captain Marvel by Jim Starlin: The Complete Collection
CAPTAIN MARVEL (1968) 25-34; IRON MAN (1968) 55; MARVEL FEATURE (1971) 12; MARVEL GRAPHIC NOVEL (1982) 1; MATERIAL FROM DAREDEVIL (1964) 105 AND LIFE OF CAPTAIN MARVEL (1985) 1-5
>>83751257
Lol, no when someone post a pic of their shelf or RPs then there's discussion, but whenever someone just list out what they got their lucky to get one reply.
>>83751257
>Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness
YES
These came in today.
It's missing Morrison's Action Comics 3 because the fagolas split my order for whatever reason.
And then I've got some She-Hulk on the way.
>>83751487
>Morrison Millar Flash spine dark at the top and light at the bottom

>Spider-Man by Stern
A lot of us in this thread have gotten this recently
>>83751570
Goddamn it, you're right.
I thought something looked off (it's not in the shelf yet).
>>83751487
I hear the Roget Stern Spider-Man stuff is really great.
Only one really got me hype is that Byrne Alpha Flight.
>>83751626
It's been on my backlog for quite some time + isn't it OoP?
>>83751700
I think Marvel liquidated it and sold it for cheap to retailers
>>83751631
I swear they do shit like this just to piss us off
>>83751794
MonkDVDcollection.jpeg
>>83751771
Ah, I see.
>>83751644
I've read some of his run in Finnish and apart from the rubbish translation, it was great.
But as for the omni, I'm only seven issues in and holy shit, it's so much fun.
Can't wait for the real meat of it.
Why is Marvel suddenly making omni's of everything Byrne did?
>>83752747
You wouldn't?
I've personally not gotten anything /co/-related since I won that lot of DC hardcovers and Deluxe Editions on eBay for $10, but that included Return Of Bruce Wayne: Deluxe Edition, Superman: The Black Ring v1-2, New Teen Titans: Games (why is this one such a wonky size?), and the Batman: Dective No. 27 trade thrown in as a bonus.
The missus did get this awesome retro Black Canary statue from Kotobukiya's Bishoujo line in the mail today though.
>>83755385
I'm so on the fence about Lemire's Green Arrow.
Could it be the art?
Anyway, I still need to get the Gotham Central and Superior Foes omnis. New Frontier, too, as it's been out of stock forever where I get my comics.I might get the Kingdom Come deluxe and give the trade to a friend, just like I did with Watchmen.
>>83755385
How is Planetary?
I haven't been collecting comics for that long, but here's what I have so far. Some of the stuff, like Nyx, Hack/Slash and the Strain I haven't actually read yet, but they were only 1$ each so I picked them up.
>>83751644
I just read his Avengers and really enjoyed it. I need to pick this one up.
Is there a place that does trades? I'd gladly unload my JSA omis for something/anything else.
>>83751487
How is the flash by Grant Morrison?
>>83751257
>Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness
What's in this? WHAT'S IN THIS?!
Forgive my degeneracy
>>83751318
About fucking time. This is an instant buy for me.
>>83757029
haven't read it yet, I'm working my way through Gotham Central. The Planetary Omnibus seems to have a good build it's sewn and glued unlike Gotham Central Omnibus which is only glued (I don't know what DC was thinking).
Amazon sent me The Goon v3 (Library Edition) two days early.
I know what I'm doing tonight. From here on in, I'm reading blind.
>>83758386
It was a comic that came with an action figure. It's fantastic. It's by Howard Mackie and JRJR
>>83761080
I know that much. Have 2 copies of the original and Dark Design (took me years to find a copy. Was not worth it). I just want to know what this book contains. If it's just these 2 books or more.
JR Jr became a name for me back then with this book.
I never got no toy with it, though.
I'm looking for suggestions on comics set in the 60's something with the style of mad men but in the noir detective, crime or horror genre. I recently ordered Lady Killer (still hasn't arrive though), because I was told it had that kind of vibe. I already have Fatale.
>>83761510
I doubt it's anything more than HoD I don't know why anon called it a big TPB.
>>83762318
Polar could work. Although I think it's set more in the 80s-90s. It still has that noir vibe to it, although it's not that 'detective'.
It does feel very Samurai Jack like, if you're into that sort of thing.
>>83762398
>112 pages
Probably just the 2 graphic novels then. Get to keep my money a bit longer.
>>83762607
>Ghost Rider/Wolverine/Punisher: Hearts of Darkness - both one-shots
Verily
>>83758211
It's been a while since I read it, but about what you'd think; a wild ride, though not as trippy as some of his other works.
Wally outrunsthe concept of deathandwith a little help, instantenous transmission.
Most recent purchase is Animal Man, I've got Archie vs Predator on loan.
What yall think is my worst comic on here?
For me personally its therecolored Killing Joke
How did I do?
$175 for used VG lot.
>>83751570
I actually like that.
Doesn't blend in with the Johns ones.
>>83765496
You're a twisted man, but I respect your right to an opinion.
>>83765475
You know you did great stop gloating.
Amazon just sent me an email saying they are searching for the supergirl silver age omni I pre-ordered for cheap
Wtf
>>83767045
Mine shipped yesterday
That cheap pre-order must have been popular
>>83766342
Why would you want them to have the same spine if they're not part of the same run?
>>83767104
I was mostly kidding.
But why it isn't entirely different rather than just flipped, that's what I don't get.Was Morrison Reverse-Johns all along!?
p10 bump
It's been quite a while since I last posted here, though my shelf has only had two additions. So might as well bump with it.
1/4
>>83771043
The nameless spine is Stand Still, Stay Silent HC that I backed on indiegogo.
2/4
>>83771067
Next purchase is probably either metabarons 7&8 or more Moebius.
3/4
>>83771153
And my much neglected manga shelf. I blame Dark Horse for not releasing more Drifters.
4/4
>>83771203
Pick up some more vagabond boi
>>83771280
I was planning to but then the online retailer that I used bumped the price from 12€ to like 20-25€ each.
Also student money is tight, probably going to get some during the summer after Metabarons and Moebius.
>>83771203
Like the other anon said, pursue Vagabond. It's amazing and I'm planning to get these books when I'll get more spaces and when I'll be completed a few series.
Finish Pluto and Vinland Saga, these books are so good. Masterpieces in their own field.
>>83771971
I couldn't get into Vinland Saga, great art though. I should check out his older manga Planets

who is this and does she suck toes?
>>83777852
>not trying to tell you how to party, but you'll damage those leaving them like that.
I put them there to take the picture, because where I actually store my books is a closet and is really uncomfortable and dark to take a good picture. I may keep a couple out while reading them but that's it really.
>>83779035
Batgirl
I want to order The Sandman online but I'm scared of Amazon and online shopping.
>>83780685
My experiences with Amazon have mostly been highly positive. I don't use it for comics all that much, but yeah, books in general have arrived in good shape.
Or are you worried about something else?
There's also InStockTrades if you're American.
>>83781407
>>83780685
I work at an Amazon warehouse.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FkztfSwPwpU
is approximately how we treat you package.
That anyone is satisfied baffles me.
>>83781510
I don't understand.
I keep hearing stuff like that, but the only problem I've ever had was when UPS somehow got my address wrong.
Every single book I've ordered through Amazon has arrived in their stated condition, so I don't see why I should be displeased. That said, I'd obviously use IST if it was cost-effective, but living in Finland, my options are quite limited.
>>83780685
If they fuck it up you can just request a return. It's just tedious.
>>83781510
So you're the fucker that dented my bottle of ink!
But I've gotten many comics from amazon. Done well so far. We'll see what happens come Christmas.
>>83781407
My Infinity Gauntlet Omni arrived with a huge dent in the corner. I buy mostly omnis so I haven't ordered from them since.
IST is the hook up. It takes them fucking firever to get shit out of their warehouse though. I have two orders from last week, one is about to ship the other hasn't progressed at all.
The orders: I sent a friend the second Hellboy HC and the "To wake Mangog" Thor Epic Collection and ordered the first two HB HCs for myself too.
Just ordered all three of the Miller&Janson Daredevil collections and vol 2 of Harrow County
Copra Round 3 is in the mail already
>>83782107
Sorry to hear that.
The Annihilation omni was the first thing I ever got through Amazon and, fortunately, it came in in perfect condition.
IST sadly wouldn't be any cheaper for me than Adlibris when you account for the shipping. Then again, Adlibris has a pretty solid selection of comics and no postage.
Gonna snatch up that Alpha Fligjht Omni before it goes for a billion dollars
>>83782454
Hey the omnibus is going to be cheaper than buying a copy of Alpha Flight classic vol 1. That shit is out of print and going for the $80-115 range
>>83782531
Exactly
>>83776165
I'm jelly, just got the plague of frogs collection myself. Why did you get the hellboy trades instead of waiting for the library editions?
>>83777613
Yes. It's a decent book on his own and a good introduction to new readers. TLH does better was Hush did later.
>>83777613
Is a great place to start if you want to hit the ground running it's still early on Batman Career and you get a look at his rogues.
I guess this is an obvious recommendation but get yourself Batman: Year One a really great origin story.
>>83751011
NINETY
FIVE
DORRAR
>>83777613
It's a good standing alone story
>>83778499
I need to get some new shelves. There's no way to keep everything organized properly with what I've got.
>Corben
The Creepy collection is fine. It's not remastered by any stretch, which is a plus and a minus, as some pages look like they're from a c2c scan. Otherwise, if you're a Corben fan, there's a lot to enjoy. I'd recommend it since there's not a currently in-print collection of any of his Heavy Metal material.
Picked up 2 sisters today
>>83785524
>as some pages look like they're from a c2c scan
A few stories were scanned from original art that Corben still owns. Otherwise they did the best they could, Warren was kind of a cheap publisher.
>>83781407
Ehhhh.
My sister ordered a paperback book for me last Christmas, and it came bent.
I mean, the thing's not ruined, but I'd be careful ordering anything from Amazon that you aren't 100% sure will be packaged snugly and handled with a little bit of care.
>>83767104
It's all volume 2 and the run builds upon itself, when you put Waid, Morrison/Millar, Waid, Johns next to each other they should all match in the end
faggot
Was in the other not as sucessful shelf thread, lol.... excited to pick up this tomorrow

....what the fuck is wrong with you?
It really bugs me that the Batman: No Man's Land volumes differ in spine title boldness/thickness.
>>83785323
That's a good price for the Creepy/Eerie alone. Would love to get those archives but they are just too much for too many books. They should put out softcover versions, too.
>>83785524
>there's not a currently in-print collection of any of his Heavy Metal material
Which is fucking disgusting.
>>83787467
>Which is fucking disgusting.
I heard that Corben is actually a born again Christian and not a fan of some of his own work from certain periods of time, namely his Underground work. He quit drawing nudity in Den comics at one point
Then again Rat God had a vagina in it so who knows
>>83783590
>>83783667
>>83785452
Thanks guys, I'll be sure to pick up Batman: Year One next.
Tell me about Eerie pubs /co/ .
I'm drunk and need to be entertained, give me some comic book history.

>>83788460
I just was to be able to own some of his older works without having to steal a kidney to sell on the black market.
Need to own more of his modern work too, actually.
>>83788742
Check out Ragemoor. It's a really neat Lovecraftian style haunted house comic he did
>>83751257
>Punisher Max: The Complete Collection Vol. 5
Ennis's run is completely collected as of Volume 4. The question is, will this contain the remainder of the first MAX volume, or are they going to cut right to the Jason Aaron run? My guess is the former.
Either way, I'm glad they aren't finished with this run of trades yet. Obviously the non-Ennis stuff isn't as good, but IMO some of the best non-Ennis Punisher stories came from MAX.
>>83788862
Welcome to the Bayou alone makes up for Girls in White Dresses and 6 Hours to Kill. I just want something that collects those missing one-shots and issue 75. Come one Marvel, that's the only Punisher Max I need. Well, that and Untold Tales but the latter is me being lazy.
>>83788784
I might have, I might not. I will nonetheless.
Am I the only one that is sick of having these charaters jumping around giving kisses and having sex to and with everyone? depending on the author writting this shit.
Also Nightwing + Starfire is the most retarded thing ever. Crystal skull level retarded.
Batman its supposed to be a detective comic, noir style in a city. Not about fucking space shit, fighting aliens and super gods and shit.
Fucking Autism.
>>83787467
I keep money set aside for when I see Creepy/Eerie for =>50% off.
>>83789436
Where at because I've not seen that myself. I only an Eerie Presents: Hunter. Need to read that again, that was good. Would like to get the Bernie Wrightson and Richard Corben collections soon.
>tfw no more shelf space
Had to start stacking trades horizontally for the timebeing, need to get myself a new shelf sharpish.
Just got an ebay order delivered though, the first two trades of Justice League International (the 80s one), for £10.99 including postage. Really good deal I just luckily stumbled upon, since the second volume seems to be out of print and up for fairly high prices on Amazon used.
Similar situation with The Question - first volume's expensive as fuck but the others are all quite cheap, but I'm not going to buy them if I can't have the first volume. Hopefully he'll show up in one of the TV shows and they'll reprint it soon.
>>83788978
6 Hours to Kill was fun only for the concept of the Punisher immediately going rogue after getting captured and deciding to use the reminder of his time to kill as many criminals as possible. That was great. The rest of the story was super confusing tough.
And Girls in White Dresses is alright. I didn't mind reading it.
>>83793541
>tfw no more shelf space
>tfw no more space for shelf
My collection is off to a good start! New X-Men and Superior Foes came yesterday!
>>83794368
As stories they weren't horrible but following Ennis you could definitely see a drop in quality there. Welcome to the Bayou brought it back close to what it was.
>>83794398
They have these cabinet shelves at the home office in tempted to replicate because I probably can't fit anymore book shelves into the room.
>>83796639
What have you read
>>83797486
Of what;s in the pic or ever?
I'd say 40-50% of the shelves shown but I've read almost 3 times of the pic in since 2012.

The Byrne book should be arriving early next week.
>>83799380
nightwings toes.
Picked up the new collected of 52 today, fuckers thick and beefy, one thing that sucks... theres a backup after each issue.. BUT NO NOTES AT ALL... so i'm glad I've got it now in print to read but that was quite disappointing.
I'll take some pics later if anyone cares
>>83803236
I'm glad I got the 4 trades since they refuse to reprint the notes pages in anything else
>>83803236
Got a picture of that trade? Particularly interested in the design of the spine
>>83803279
Yeah i thought from the description about it having backups included it was for sure going to have them. I've already got the 4 trade version on my tablet so I'm just going to read the notes that way as i work through the book.
>>83803646
there ya go, not sure what else to take pics of since its just a tpb and obv doesnt have a sewn spine or anything.
How long did it take for the 2012 logo to appear on new trades?
