charging his powers
TO ME, MY GALACTUS!
Jesus these are some run-of the-mill Celestials and it took Galactus twice and a most powerful mutant ever to beat them imagine what the higher-ends are capable of.
>>83751516
>these are some run-of the-mill Celestials
A run-of-the-mill celestial is still strong enough to fuck up an entire planet.
>>83751561
Yeah, but Galactus on the verge of dying obliterated half a sector in a tantrum, Franklin's limits aren't known. And they barely got out alive. Imagine Exitar or God forbid Scathan fighting seriously.
>>83751623
Damn, this room got dusty all of a sudden.
I get it. They are iconic. Classics. So forth.
But why are they, and why have they always been, so fucking boring? I love Marvel, but the F4 have always been impossible for me to get into. The closest I ever got was rather liking Spidey and Torches friendship.
Where is Johnny these days? Dead? Practically everyone else that was an enjoyable classic character is.
>>83751632
>Imagine Exitar or God forbid Scathan fighting seriously.
Doom goes up against them at one point during Hickman's run I think. The Council of Reeds arc.
>>83751674
Johnny is with the Inhumans. I love the family, Lee and Kirby is what got me to and then Waid's cemented it. Try those?
>>83751674
well this story is hardly boring. the context and ultimately lack of connection with Secret Wars is disappointing, but I, for one, am reading this run with great pleasure.
>>83751674
>But why are they, and why have they always been, so fucking boring?
They're only boring when written by bad writers that don't understand the family dynamics. Hickman's run may be called a lot of things, boring ain't one of them. Johnny is alive and well, banging Black Bolt's woman.
>>83751642
>Women and men in skintight spandex, designed to show off their heroic frames and be at least a little sexy, since it's like bodypaint.
>Kids wearing those same outfits. More than a little creepy.
>>83751743
>banging Black Bolt's woman.which one?
>>83751751
It's only sexual if you make it that way
>>83751469
Here it is
God I LOVE this page
>>83751713
nope, Exitar is from 616 nad Scathan is from some future one involving original Guardians. Scathan was able to contain a being that imitated and surpassed power of the Living Tirbunal, go figure. I suppose "Eternals" pointed out that some Celestials can "ascend" above their function and become something more.
>>83751668
I love Hickman's Valeria so much. She's the ultimate genius but without being insufferable.
I particularly loved seeing her interact with Uncle Doom.
>>83751744
>we will never have a comic about Franklin and Galactus space adventures
Marvel pls
>>83751780
>which one?
Why Medusa of course. Johnny is reckless like that.
The worst part of this run is what happens toPower Pack
>>83751845
I was taking a stab at Black Bolt having five wives.Medusa and Johnny is disgusting
>>83751674
You know this run and every other FF run was anything but boring for me
I used to think they were boring before but my opinion changed as I read more about them
>>83751732
>>83751733
>>83751743
Maybe you guys are right.
I'm just not a massive fan of the celestials, and they seem to have always played a big part in some form or another, I've never really bought into the family dynamic or the way they are so easily hailed as heroes in the same city Spidey and Daredevil are shredded in, and so forth.
Then again, my knowledge mostly comes from well over a decade ago, the old cartoons and films, and crossovers into other books. Maybe some day I'll sit down and read some of the Fantastic 4 runs.
This wasn't boring, I'll admit, but as I don't know the characters (outside seeing X-23 babysit the insufferable little shits) I have no real investments in the events.
>>83751878
>Medusa and Johnny is disgusting
how so?
>>83751845
One might even say...he's a hothead.
>>83751892

That was fun

ew
>>83751934I will storytime it all after Green Lantern. I'm trying to find a reading order so I can get all of the tie-ins that aren't in the main series
>>83751989
It's coming
Like many other it seems this was the run that got me interested in the F4. I can see that the whole family dynamic is hard for writer to work with so it can easily go wrong. And Hickman made the group even larger with FF.
And now the most unfriendly to new readers .1 issues
>>83751791
I think protege was all talk. He claimed he was stronger but he didn't do anything, he was easily captured by Scathan, and couldn't resit The living Tribunal's judgement.
That being said between, Exitar, Scathan, The dreaming Celestial, and TOAA celestial that fought Thanos in Infinity Gauntlet who is the strongest?
And now everyone and their mother's favorite issue
>>83752607
I'd still think Scathan, Beyonder didn't dare to engage Protege, yet Scathan muzzle'd it with a gesture.
Then again, The Dreaming ascended as was stated by Kirby - he certainly became more aware than the rest. Then TOAA (I suppose that he presides over the whole 616's host. Still, Exitar was named to be more powerful than the whole host (the one Odinstroyer fought) combined.
