i was sitting there thinking about the gnostic parallels in homestuck. how caliborn/english is the demiurge, who gives form to god/hussie's ideas by creating the juju/comic/material universe and who also causes all the suffering in it, and calliope is sophia whose weakness creates the demiurge but who also ends the material world and allows ascension to the new universe/pleroma, and the kids trapped in the juju are the divine spark. and i was like wow this is actually pretty cool. but what is vriska? clearly she is very important. and then i realised she was jesus. and i shouted out loud in anger. fuck you andrew hussie.
>>
>>83741641
>Vriska was Jesus
>not Karkat
>>
>>83741779
ah yes, karkat pissed himself and cried on the cross
>>
>>83741779
in the gnostic sense.
>Jesus is interpreted as an intermediary aeon who was sent from the pleroma, with whose aid humanity can recover the lost knowledge of the divine origins of humanity.
she's hussie/god's special child who guides everyone to the true world.

i realised, incidentally, that her death took place while disc 2 was scratched. presumably she was not supposed to die in the correct chain of events, but doc scratch/english took control from hussie to kill her off since she's the 'saviour'. then when john repairs the story we get the second coming. basically what im saying is fuck vriska

Man, I don't understand like half of these questions. A few of them can be understood to mean two opposite things.

Also, I am the figurative autist who you gave The Land of Skyscrapers and Silence. I said I was a Knight of Void based on the really old test, but this says I'm a Made of Void. Does this change your choice? (I mean I guess probably not since the Silence part is probably from the Void and not the Knight)

>>83745826
You hide behind something (be it irony, rants, or radness) to disguise your lack of self-worth. You are probably lonely. You use space as a weapon - this could mean literally growing or sharpening your weapon with space, freezing things in place or using creation as a weapon in some more abstract way.

Also you'll have to do a lot of frog stuff yourself.
>>
>>83745826
You weaponize your ability to shrink and increase the sizes of objects with some manner of telekinesis thrown in too. So Antman with telekinesis who throws big stuff.

Good morning, Classpectanon.

Knight of Heart

Interests: Classical theatre, hiking and survival camping, collecting natural specimens such as animal bones and minerals.
Personality: Very reserved and serious. Chooses words carefully when speaking. Overly analytical. Fiercely independent.
Issues: Anxiety, fear of rejection, tends to see self as a burden on others. Struggles on and off with an eating disorder.
>>
Karkat: Muslim who murdered 30 people
Dave, Dirk and Jake: Gays
Policeman who killed the muslim: Vriska

>What have you got?

>>
>>83745699
Land of Sanguinary and Toil
Your land is a vast war-field, mostly flat, with some red lakes and rivers, and occasional valleys and canyons for choke points, where it constantly rains blood, or, at the very least, red water. Grim. Your Consorts, the Hedgehogs, wage eternal war against the forces of Ares, a brutal war. You have to help them, personally, on the battlefield, to defeat his Constructs - only when the battlefield is clear, with a great deal of unavoidable bloodshed, will the path to Ares open.
>>83745863
No.
>>83745879
Land of Zephyr and Cymbals
Your Land is a windy hellhole, where great brass trees grow cymbalfruits and trianglebranches that constantly ding in the din of the storm. Your consorts, the Crickets, have very little tolerance for noise, and will never stick around for too long - you have to learn to trust that their intentions are good. You need to meet your Denizen, Echo, and get her to calm the windstorms before the noise pushes away your consorts forever.
>>83746047
Land of Myth and Mountains
Your land is a hiker's wet dream - forested mountains with well-treaded paths courtesy of your Consorts, the Tapirs. It also, unfortunately, has an Active Denizen - Ophiuchus, an inverted negative of yourself. Like that other guy who had issues, Ophiuchus will travel the land, undoing the good you do, and the Tapirs are kind of stupid and just assume it's you - Ophiuchus is faster than you and can undo your good work faster than you can do it. But the Tapirs don't really care, they're kind of chill about it. All they want is for you to keep helping them. Your past sins don't matter to the weird-noses. You have to get enough experience to be able to confront Ophiuchus face-on by doing good deeds before you try, because otherwise he'll totally just kick your shit in.
>>83746158
Maybe later.

>>83745180

new classpect: Knight of Space
interests: video games, psychology, cooking, stories, theorycrafting, guns (mostly to look at rather than use)
personality: polite, helpful, and friendly exterior, very little self-confidence (i can't take genuine compliments easily because i don't believe them), anxiety issues, and mildly obsessive. also i have ADD

Remember that MSPA Fan Adventures forum is dead so if it only existed on there, it's gone for good.

>>83746395
It's as good as a fan adventure can get. That is to say I almost didn't cringe and had fun from start to end. The the strongest point is how most characters have different personalities due to the changes, yet retain their core aspects.

If you were disappointed by Karkat on the real comic, you'll end this one with a smile on your face.

Just read it, it's a very well done little AU story that retains much of what makes the trolls enjoyable, but switching it up enough to make the AU changes interesting. It's recommendable to read the forum adventure and not the MSPFA mirror.

It'd likely depend on if he kept his mutation or not, given that's likely where a lot of his issues stemmed from, in addition to his intense perverted desires and rather pacifist stand on things despite being an indigo blood. The latter two would still be present if he was a fuchsia blood, but he should have the freedom to not care as much about it given his position on the hemospectrum. That and we don't know what he'd develop into without Nepeta, given he's much less likely to encounter her as a fuchsia blood.

Yep, I read up about it after I got back from a festival this weekend. I shared the test to a bunch of people irl, which went down well. It'd gone down even better if I'd had your test at the time!

Have you updated it to v6 yet? I would do so myself but I haven't the foggiest notion. v6 resolves a lot wording issues, and also catches some errors that slowly accumulated over the previous versions (I forgot one question was a Doom q and thought it was a Prince q for example, so I ended up slowly mutating it until it became innaccurate).

I have a few questions

>People's attention must be directed well.
Does this mean if I am the one who is directing attention, or just in general?

>I am an avid fan.
What does this mean?

>I am willing to play with rules.
As in "I am willing to play according to the rules" or "I am willing to bend the rules"?

>I have many things say.
Typo

>I can make people tick.
What does this mean?

>People have interesting expectations of me.
What do you mean by "interesting"?

>There's always something significant occuring.
To me?

>I have stories and anecdotes.
I feel like I am missing the point because literally everyone has stories and anecdotes

>I am good at accepting death.
Your own death or the death of others (or both? even though they are different things)

>I have a lot of get-up-and-go.
What?

>I iron out messes, like it or not.
Does this mean that I solve out problems even against the will of the people who have those problems?

>I've got a lot of elbow grease.
What does this mean if not literal?

(I tried to share it quickly via google docs last thread I was in, but that didn't work out. I make these things in google docs so really this is very roundabout, but ah well.)

And yes, the genderswitcher is solidly fixed. I think some strange version of v4.5 ended up in the test, because the version of v5 I have on my computer's genderswitch works, but the online one is borked. Regardless it does nothing now if you enter Thief, Rogue, Knight, Page, Seer and Mage.

>>83747101
A good few of those questions have been altered in v6, so prease check that out. I'll address the few that remain:

>I am an avid fan
It's funny because a lot of goers in these threads have raised an eyebrow at this question, yet everyone I tested IRL got the meaning immediately. Maybe it's just my neck of the woods that we use phrases like this? I digress.

The question simply means that whatever it is you like, you are a "fan" of. Like for instance, I like to play Chess. But I don't dress up as a chesspiece or attend big chess conventions. I'm not a "fan" of Chess in that sense, or a "huge fan". Some people become fans in that sense of things more readily than others, and that is what the question is assessing.

>I can make people tick.
Get an emotive or charged response from them. I added "" marks to this question and added a tentative wink wink to the end, which may backfire but we'll see.

>I am good at accepting death
This is a question that COULD be split into accepting your own vs. that of others, but the distinction isn't necessary for the test. If you can easily accept one, but cannot accept the other, provide a middling mark to the test like a 4 or 6. This is an essential principle to answering these kinds of tests, to be honest. "Rate out of 10" is a limited system, and it just has to be accepted. I strongly promote discussing the(cont)

results garnered from my tests with myself and others in the thread for many reasons, and the option to resolve "I'm X under one circumstance but Y under others" queries is one of them.

>I have a lot of get-up-and-go.
>I've got a lot of elbow grease.
These are both common english phrases, that can be easily googled.

It's funny because I'm a tutor as my dayjob and chiefly especialise in ESOL, but for stuff like this I simply cannot afford to cater to unaware or non-native speakers. Similarly to the test itself, I also have my limits.

-

Details for Classpectanon, plus relevant rambling diatribes about my own test and results:

Single most common Class and Aspect (individually and as a pair) from my own test are Prince and Blood. For anyone wondering, yes, you really should take the test multiple times before you consider any result it puts out to be set in stone. Everyone will get some variation.

For me, I get a wide base of Aspects - Blood, Time, Mind, Light and Heart, in decreasing order of frequency. Classes is more narrow - Prince, Thief and Mage. A few years back I may have considered Prince of Mind the most fitting of these combinations, but reflection on my overall-highly Bloody family (they've all taken the test) has cemented my vision of the test's results.

Anyway. I am a pretty fucking cavalier character. I plan meticulously and think far ahead into the future, in order to grant myself as much largesse as possible in whatever situations I may find myself in - proportional to the likelihood of those situations occuring, that is. I highly value rationality. Ultimately I take a large effort to know my own incentives, and act upon them with calculated impunity. I have little reason to offend people, but if I want to then it just happens.

I don't really have any hobbies, besides long walks in the hills/possibly-private property and making rules and systems like the spreadsheet test. When I was a kid I was big into Warhammer, (cont)

Great. Check out Twig - it promises to be just as good if not better and trades the frankly obscene escalation of Worm for character development and fun bantz. Sy is an aggravating little shit and immensely fun to follow. Wildbow's stuff reads like the best kind of text rp.

Alright I guess as a story - but if you want rationalist-aligned stuff, check out UNSONG, Animorphs: The Reckoning, or Cordyceps instead. Harry grates, regardless of whether or not he's meant to, and dumbles gets nerfed hard in the grand tradition of HP fanfic authors not wanting to deal with him. Advance Wars, Paper Mario, Metroid and Zelda - pretty Nintendocore in other words, with a strategy bend. Given that Sburb players are cuspal adolescents, I reckon my younger self would have prototyped things pertaining to those hobbies.

Personality issues - well, I'm a dick like most Princes I guess. I'm a stickler for rules - most of my family have very large spiked maces up their ass in someway or form, and mine is getting annoyed when someone agrees to keep me informed and then doesn't. I used to be a lonesome and obsessive kid, and people thought I was a mini-Rainman or something. I can be easily motivated to prove a point, but otherwise I am very minimal in terms of exertion. So I'm pretty laconic and glib, but can be testy.

That went on longer that I thought, but I had fun typing it and that's what matters. Looking forward to my results!

Me dude. Felt are better designed than even Hussie realises. The role specialisations and the way each plays off each other, just from a few details about their magic powers and their differing physiques, is nothing short of art.

>>83747641
Put it this way, any native speaker would know the phrase. It's not used in common media because it's not very fashionable, but if you read, eg, motivational material or corporate lingo you'll encounter it plenty. Any typical list of "put this on your CV to get employers interested" you find will take about being "proactive", "get up and go" and so on.

>enthusiasm
That is not what get up and go means, though it isn't far off. Ultimately, the reason why I used phrase A instead of phrase B is because I thought about the concept I was trying to convey, and A struck me as more copasetic. This is open to debate, as is everything.

Hey Classpect Anon! My buddy just showed me the test, and now I'm here to get my Land+Quest

Personality: Always up for trying new things and helping others, I'm pretty laid-back and easygoing. I tend to go with the flow and follow other people's ideas. I know that I'm not the smartest crayon in the box but I think I make up for it with my interesting outlook on life/creativity.

Interests: While my interests are pretty varied I'm very into jazz and swing music along with Pokemon, JRPGs, Jojo, and tabletop gaming. I love unique fantasy settings and have an interest in child psychology. I collect strange unopened soda bottles.

Issues: I wear a mask of confidence and relaxation to hide the fact that I'm terrified of the thought of my friends turning away from me. Despite my creativity I usually think most of my ideas are shit. I'm a terrible procrastinator. It is a rare day when I finish anything that I set out to do. I'm also distracted very easily.

I really want to see Angel's fantrolls crossing over with this Horror Movie + Troll PB series of fantrolls. It'd be fantastic.

>Instead he's sending 1000 autists their t-shirts and has spent months making a minigame people will play for ten minutes tops

You have become complacent

this isn't the place
yes. What I mean to say is that I really dislike the "sensible aspects" of wizard society (secrecy regarding nuke-level magic, for instance, or the Peverell quest against Death) only being revealed toward the end as a "woo look magical society isn't quite so terrible" thing. Dumbly comes off as an idiot at first with the "everyone dies" conversation and Harry's perceptions of that (though again Harry's meant to grate) - Yud could have had him mention to Harry that the Peverells for instance worked against death (Oh you remind me of your parents) or espoused a belief in reincarnation or something. idk it's just a pet peeve of mine.

Also there'll be an AO3 mirror a bit later with colored text for ease of reading.

He is supposed to be older than your typical teenage fantroll, or isn't he?

>Dumbly comes off as an idiot at first with the "everyone dies"
apparently both sides had to come off as an idiot to create artificial conflict or something, it was a bad decision and I agree

perhaps desperate would be a better word. there is a lot i still love about homestuck's worldbuilding, but it's been squandered by a blind idiot author that doesn't give a fuck. though even azathoth was shown to be more benevolent than what shamdrew did with his creations.
