Actually...Yes. There's even a scene where Godzilla looks at someone, and saves him later. He's pretty much the good guy in the movie, and walks off into the sunset after being declared a hero and “king of the monsters” as a good number of San Framcisco remains. Godzilla barely destroyed the buildings, and saved the day from other monsters that would reproduce on a world destroying scale.

I watched the movie yesterday, and really, most of the damage is done by Zod's underlings and his terraforming machine. Superman crashes Zod through a silo and an empty gas station in Smallville, and in Metropolis, he scrapes Zod against a few windows. That's it.

Its literally radioactive Barney the Dinosaur, but taken "seriously" as anotas allegory for nuclear war...while they make him do a bunch in dumb shit like fly with his breath or do backflips on the air. And his plot armor? Makes the Punisher and Batman look like nothing, reality and narrative basically have to be altered so he can win any conflict with Deus Ex Machina - on almost EVERY movie. Anon, I watched that scene, and as a structural engineer, those "scraped windows" are two invincible wrecking balls tearing through exterior supporting walls of skyscrapers and corner pylons. The damage they did wasn't "replace a few windows" it's serious structural damage, I remember 14 buildings that will have to either come down or be immediately braced and repaired. Either way, Godzilla 2016. Skreeeeonk.
