You know, it's good being an Equius fan. For a long time there, it really seemed like he was categorically dead and out of the story, only to have him magnificently roar back to life in both timelines and be a major player, AND he gets to be a major character in almost all of the good Paradox Space comics.
There was a time when Karkat was my favourite character and Equius was my second-favourite, but that became unsustainable when I realized that Karkat was narratively irrelevant and Hussie no longer gave a shit about making him a part of the story. For Equius to ascend in importance in direct proportion to Karkat's descent into irrelevance really made it feel a lot better.
