He's been a Producer on every marvel movie since X-Men.
He got hired there because he was knowledgeable about the comics.
>>83693284
All he really did as executive producer was send e-mails suggesting they make changes, which Sony promptly ignored most of.

IIRC Feige had a hand in a shitload if not all Marvel CBMs before Marvel Studios, going back to the first X-Men, that was produced by Laura Schuler Donner, whom he used to be te PA for who got him started producing.

Feige was basically an lucky idiot because he used to have basic comicbook knowledge (which is more than anyone else has in Hollywood), so they kept him around. Kinda like when WB hired Kevin Smith to work on Superman Lives because "he knows comics".

>tfw you will never be in charge of something for knowing about comicbooks
He goes in, they show him the movie, he gives notes, the studio ignores them.
There's an anecdote in the back of one of the issues of Ultimate Spider-Man where Bendis talks about how he was called in with Stan Lee to watch the first rough cut of the Raimi Spider-Man.
At the end they asked what they thought and for any notes they had. Stan Lee stood up, said it was great, shook hands and immediately left. Bendis told them Peter needed more jokes, and spitballed a couple making fun of Goblin's suit looking suit and a producer got offended sneered at him and explained that the suit was actually really expensive and how dare he and then he realized that Stan Lee had just taught him a very valuable lesson.
I think they kept one of his jokes though, I can't remember which one.

It is a mix of having some knowledge and pulling facts out their ass. So the same as every subject people act like they know jack shit about.

If you haven't, check out his book Fortune and Glory sometime.
The stories must be 20 years old by now but I doubt the stupidity of Hollywood has changed much.
