>>83666018
10/10 superhero movie.
>>
>>83666018
Like BvS, it's much better than MCU garbage
>>
the ending...watta twist. still holds up, I recommend it to people whenever they say theyre fans of superhero movies & they always thank me after theyve watched it.
>>
Best M Night movie, which as a complement really doesn't do it justice.
>>
>>83666018
it was okay but how did they not catch that retardo as he's causing train wrecks and landslides and shit?
>>
>>83666018
The kids... THEY CALLED ME MR. GLASS.
>>
>>83666142
this

Got to see this in the theater when I was a kid. Was pretty neat.

Been a while since I've seen it, but remember that part when Mr. Glass is in the comic store and just randomly starts tossing comics around and making a big mess?

Was there a reason he did that, or was he just being a dick?
>>
>>83666347
he didn't even put on a hat and with that goofy ass haircut he'd get made in a second. he had at least partial retardo for sure.
>>
Hey man, I gotta get some chicken in me, know what I'm saying?
>>
>>83666373
You better not be jerking off to the japanese comics, dude!

kek every tiem
>>
>>83666142
I never saw it. It WAS a superhero movie?
>>
>>83666378

gotta remember, the scenes where Bruce see's him at every location arent taken from a surveillance camera. those are visions in his head.
>>
>>83666018
Best Superhero movie of all time.
>>
>>83666422

Yes. You know how many studios claim their superhero films will be "grounded" and "realistic" in order to sound more appealing to mature audiences?

Unbreakable is the only one that those terms actually apply to.
>>
>>83666018
Samuel L Jacksons character was weird.
>>
>>83666018
Slow but entertaining.
>>
Best superhero film that's not based off of any properties.
>>
>>83666172
The ending wasn't a twist.
>>
>>83666231
Damn, I love fictional characters who are obsessed with fiction. Especially when they notice tropes and understand their significance.
>>
>>83666439
shit i was the retardo the entire time
>>
>>83666018
The scene in the pool. That fucking scene man. When he rises after being saved by the kids he's going to help, the music, everything is amazing in that scene.
And I love how everything seems to fit together like a little puzzle: how it's never told directly but you can perceive David's "powers" probably come from a small mutation that made his bones denser than a normal human, which explains how he never broke a bone, his superior strength, why he's bad at swimming and gets the perfect contrast for the "villain" that discovers him.
And his "special sense" adds the bit of fantasy it needs to put it just a little closer to the traditional superhero comics the movie refers to.

>>83666018
M. Night's finest work.

It will make you think he has talent

Holy fuck Anon,

I never thought of it like that. Fuck, this movie is too good. Not only that but I love how his superhero colors were green and yellow and how EVERYTHING he owned came in those two colors compared to Mr. Glass who was covered in purple.

How/Why did Shamalamadingdong fuck up??

My favorite movie desu senpai

That scene was great and all but the way the two women were just standing at attention after getting David out of the pool looked goofy to me
>>
One of my favorite movies.

I went into it with no pretense and was thoroughly surprised at how it escelated.
>>
really a fantastic movie
>>
>>83667236
Watch the movie again
>>
>>83666318
I love that newspaper print at the ending that makes it look like a cape. 10/10 costume indeed.
>>
>>83666318

what kind of superhero name is SECURITY
>>
>>83666373
>The owner tries to wheel him out of the store
>he spins and kicks a rack of comics down
>>
>>83668334

Maybe?

I don't consider myself a comics collector. I buy them, to read. Like you buy movies you like watching or a game you want to play. But I don't have a "collection" like those people who collect stamps or Beatles memorabilia or whatever. I could see people having huge collections if they collect mostly for the purpose of collecting. I just never did that myself, I only bought books I was interested in

How all the comics movies should've been made from the start.

Wish there is a parallel universe where this movie is the first comics related movie EVER filmed. I'd super envy people living there.
>>
>>83670877
The funny thing is that in that parallel universe their /co/ would hate this movie with passion and even say it's shit due to how popular it would be among the common public.
The grass is always greener etc.
>>
>>83670155
Is it really that bad? It's evocative of what he brings.
>>
>>83671123
Yeah, that's the obvious drawback of the idea.
>>
>>83666018
I think it belongs on /tv/
>>
>>83666484
Ok...this sounds fuckin awesome. gonna stream it.
>>
>>83666018
I liked it.
>>
>>83666018
Probably the only superhero movie that you can take seriously.
>>
Painfully slow to start, and is very slow paced pretty much all the way to the ending, but still very enjoyable.

The scene where his son pulls a gun on him always get me. Every time I watch it I still think he just might pull the trigger
>>
>>83674385
would the bullet have killed him
>>83666018
what powers does he have?
>>
>>83666018
All those movies that have heavy computer animation
>>
>>83676139
>what powers does he have?
Limited super strength, and more importantly he's invincible to all harm other than drowning in water
>>
>>83666018
just saw a dvd box set for this movie for 3 dollars... feel like buying it
>>
>>83674385
>no shooting friends
I can't help but laugh at that scene every time i think of it
>>
>>83666018
funny thing about this is that part 2 was going to be made but after 2010 they never talked about it again
>>
>>83666422
Yes. It has a sort-of similar premise as Rock's Hercules, Bruce Willis' character was the reality that superhero stories are based on. Indestructible, super strength, and a sixth sense for the bad things people have done, the ability that would eventually be written as x-ray vision, spider sense, etc.
>>
>>83666373

He was upset...I can't remember if Willis' character rejected Jackson's theory or just said he wasn't going to use his abilities for good, but either way, Jackson had just found the guy he had spent his life (and morality) looking for, and that guy wasn't as excited about the idea as he was.
>>
>>83666018
It's definitely the best Shyamalan movie.
Also, good god the cinematography, and the lighting in particular, are just stellar all the way through.
>>
>>83666018
>Honorable members of /co/

Yeah, you dont get to decide that
>>
>>83666155
In what way is it like BvS?
>>
>>83677219
And limited touch-based telepathy, specifically capable of sensing and showing him crimes and other negative behaviours.
>>
>>83677219
>he's invincible to all harm other than drowning in water
Is it just water? I know that's his "weakness" but I always thought it was like Luke cage, with no external damage. No one tried poisoning him or anything like tat.
>>
>>83678824
Well he never was sick so his immune system or bodily integrity of whatever is probably good too.
>>
>>83678642
requires multiple viewings to fully understand, it breaks the common conventions of superhero films, and it's made by a director who is often misunderstood
>>
>>83678934
snyder pls
>>
>>83667249
now that is a twist
>>
>>83666018
His most underrated film. I don't think it's as good as Sixth Sense, but the two together were great. Basically down hill from there though.
>>
>>83668334
At the time of the movie? Probly.
>>
Most 'Real' superhero screen film to date
>>
I literally just watched this because of this thread, is there any other movies like this? That was seriously good
>>
>>83666018
8/10. Better than Signs worse than The Sixth Sense.
>>
>>83668849
>How/Why did Shamalamadingdong fuck up??

From the moment The Sixth Sense came out people were calling him a genius, the next Spielberg, etc. Remember, he wasn't even thirty yet. It went to his head. He started believing his own hype. Success can and does ruin talented people.
>>
>>83666484
The movie is very realistic. Notice that the father of the black dude never appears in the movie. Not even once.
>>
>>83666018

Literally the only good film Shyamalan ever did. (Sixth Sense doesn't hold up. You know this is true.)
>>
>>83682429
