I haven't read it, but I'm guessing "no", because all criticism I've heard against it was just moaning about "racism", instead of criticism on the art or writing. Read Martha Washington, particularly Give Me Liberty. It's a fantastic book with a well written female lead. Hell even Sin City's female characters had as much depth as the male characters (shallow as that may be).
