One of the oldest criticisms about this comic is that they're in this semi-futuristic world with fully autonomous AIs and all it's about is a group of hipsters at a coffee shop.
Admittedly expecting Geoff to write well enough to properly pull off stories about AIs and humans coexisting is a fool's errand but it hasn't stopped people's desire to see it.
