He's kinda right though (not Lobdell I mean) if you want to focus on more magical mystical stuff with a main Batline character I'd probably use either Jason or Damian, like I'd use Tim for for more tech based storylines.

The problem is the only story just about everyone agrees they like with Jason was the UtRH movie with him as a man pained antihero, and thats where most of his fans come from. Morrisons villain was just as one note as him being an anti hero, but his fans hated it, and no one else really cared anyway. So as it stands DC have him being a half arsed anti hero, who still turns up in the Batfamily for the sales, which completely neuters him.
I don't even think even that would be a problem if they gave him a competent writer and editorial with a clear plan, rather than Lobdell and the Superman team.
