Long as we're talking Dredd, I love how he has not one, not two, but three eagles in his uniform: buckle, shoulderpad and badge. And that's not counting the designs where all of his pouches have tiny eagles as buttons.

I remember an anon posting about how Nazi uniforms being extra /fa/ lead to them freezing to death. Nazis would often steal coats from American soldiers because theirs weren't warm enough. It also was a problem with production- all the little details made them expensive to make and they couldn't keep up.
Also Darkseid's design is great- in context with the new gods. Newer designs for Darseid add more colors and segments, but that misses the point entirely. The other New Gods are busy with ornate armor and lots of colors. Even the gods of Apokalips, but not Darkseid. Darkseid IS. He needs no ornaments to announce his importance. Every detail about him is understated. It's great shit Jack.

Toy image from the cartoons I know but still. his rebirth version from Unlimited featured a bit more new gods and kirby influences. while still pretty much keeping the basics of the costume. metal cowl, miniskirt, Big boots, and broad frame.

Also I think Spider-Mans design is utterly brilliant.
It translates perfectly to live action without any added details or textures. It conveys what powers he has, it speaks to Peters personality. Spider-man has a perfect costume.

His Nu52 design is greatly simplified. Looks far better in my opinion.

Half truth. In the winter following D-Day, US soldiers in Europe were 100% up shit creek as far as appropriate seasonal clothing went. To a US soldier in the forests of France, the white winter coat of the German infantry men and artillery men was as prized as a Luger.
The Germans did however really fucking suffer in the Eastern front, and were not prepared with dense enough winter gear to survive long term in the outside elements of Russia (Hitler envisioned a quick capture of Russia and thus uniforms were never prepared for protracted involvement). Nor was there enough replenishment of standard gear to go around due to the incredibly over-stretched supply lines being constantly compromised by enemy attack or made inaccessible due to Russia's famous winter mud. It had nothing to do with /fa/ness so much as poor planning and logistics.
