Leering out the window at girls and trying to penetrate them is wrong Charles
>>83587022
Jee-zus, that looks amazing. Also, really costly. My last big purchase was the Parker Martini Edition so I don't think I'll be able to afford that sadly.
>>83587111
i've been saving since like march
>>83586672
Imagine Patrick Stewart saying "X-Babies".
>>83587120
Now that's commitment.
>>83586351
>he reminds me of a stern father
>this is a good thing
God damn I miss this era
It's amazing we have gotten so many great storytimes lately.

>Booster Gold: Joke to Hero of Time
>Power Man & Iron Fist: How a Hero for Hire & a Young Dragon became Bros.
>>83587346
>>83587378
Stevie is an underrated character
>>83587494
Amazing indeed, I do love me some cool storytimes.
>>83587587
>Garfeeld, original character, do not steal
just finished reading the last thread
Its been years since I read this, iirc what comes next is Hellions, and then the fattening of Karma.
>>83587745
speaking of Hellions, you doing the Firestar mini OP?
Emma is so unbelievably, evil i can't wait
>>83587494
Don't forget the Wally West storytime.
>>83587783
>you doing the Firestar mini OP?
Yep!
>>83587587
Garfield and Thomas Magnum, the two cultural touchstones of the '80s.
>>83587750
>panels as letters
Always love that trick
>>83587901
>delete some memories
>blow your cover the next issue
Question, who do you think are the biggest Bros?
Logan and Kurt, Booster & Beetle, Wonder Man & Beast or Danny & Cage?
>>83588083
Booster and Beetle are, like, the Joey and Chandler of comics. If they were any closer they'd be gay.
>>83587001
everybody wants Roberto's dick?
>>83588154
It's that irresistible Brazilian charm, man. The ladies can't help themselves.
>>83588154
Ranhe has the hots for Sam
Dani and Sam have had some romantic tension, both in New Mutants and in the later New Mutants volume when they're all grown up
>>83588162
I'm usually not a fan of Claremont's "everything is one degree away from a kinky orgy" but certain times....like this particular Emma/Kitty story....wew
>>83588194
Introducing a bunch of future cannon fodder and Warpath
>>83588501
I like that they dressed the Hellfire goons in the New Mutants uniforms rather than leaving them in their underwear.
Best kids
>>83586052
Holy shit, even the New Mutants think Kitty's mutation is lame.
>>83588565
I can't say why exactly but I love how Buscema and Demulder emulate pixels in that last panel.
>>83588743
But 'Mara, it was Dani that called you Amy earlier.
>>83587721
I think Emma hasnt thrown a psy beam in decades
I even remember her dodging a Cyclops beam and hitting him with one.
>>83589161
BLACKED
>>83587022
Why would I rebuy what I bought when they came out and kept in acid-free bags
>>83589344
>flight is quite impossible
>unless you use the exact same method as last time since I never developed a counter-measure
>>83589161
>Kitty will never sit on your back and give you a massage
>>83588194
this makes me sad because I always thought Catseye had potential.
>>83589616
Bendis pls
>>83587587
So Kitty and Illyana are fans of Burt Reynolds?
>>83589655
That's Tom Selleck
That's all for today, folks! Tomorrow: Secret Wars! Until then!
>>83589723
It's fun to watch Sienkiewicz transform from a Neal Adams imitator to his own style during his run on NM.
>>83589655
Merely a ploy to avoid any awkward questions the others might raise about their relationship
>>83589655
>>83589716
All fo them are huge fans, especially Roberto
>>83588743
this guy and warpath are the only ones alive right now I think.
>>83589770
Moon Knight is a different window into that same progression. Around issue 20 his style just all of a sudden happens.
>>83586517
"Wow, another batch of Sentinels went rogue! Maybe we should stop trying to create Sentinels!"
>>83589716
You made me google image search "Tom Selleck naked" and I'm not even mad
>>83590329
Said no shady anti-mutant government agent ever.
>>83586539
>>83586586
>>83586620
>>83586647
The real reason Doug had to go. I joke but at the same time I can easily see obsessed spergs holding a grudge against him for "stealing" Kitty.
>>83590816
he had to die because he had lame powers that couldnt even be drawn, and when they resurrected him and gave him the "power buff" os stretching his language powers to a ridiculous level it made him even worse.
he was warlocks translator
>>83589634
Tarot came back way later in X-Force if nothing else.
>>83586875
It's pages like this with the "duties that transcend personal desire" that make me appreciate the Stewart Xavier casting.I've never seen the movies so I have no idea how well it works out
>>83591210
>he had lame powers
No fuck that, Cypher had an awesome power. He wasn't X-Man material, at least not field team, but his mutant power was something with obvious practical benefit
>>83591914
Shit, he could have just been support staff, or a civilian friend that occasionally gets called in to help on a problem.
bump for read, also thank you anon
>>83592770
>he could have just been support staff
He could've been like Karma. She was never really into the whole superheroe thing, she just ended up working as faculty for the school.
That was part of Claremont's intention, or so he says now. The New Mutants weren't just the next generation of X-Men, they were just a bunch of teenagers trying to find their place. Some of them would stay, some might leave the X-Men and just get a job out in the world.
>>83587450
heh
>>83591914
>>83592770
>>83593715
The X-books have always had a nasty habit of writing out or killing off any supporting cast that don't have useful superpowers.
Remember when they all had HUMAN girlfriends? (even Storm!) You should, it was just two X-Anon threads ago.
>>83587901
god that fourth panel is amazing, is that the most angsty face in all of comics?
>>83594039
> Remember when they all had HUMAN girlfriends?
Angel's died and Morrison got rid of Beast's
I forget what happened to that reporter Cable was involved with, but he did marry a human in the future timeline he took hope to
>>83586672
>2 of them are older than you.
Is that including poor missing Shan?
>>83586781
>In this page, the role of Douglas Ramsey will be played by someone's grandma.
>>83588367
>>83587872
>>83589258
Claremont doesn't waste any time sticking his two favorites together
>>83587024
Way to blab about your eavesdropping, Amara.
>>83586406
Oh, Sam, you poor lovable goof ball. I know that feel all too well.
>>83594701
Well, I'm sure it was a compromise for him...
He probably wanted to "stick them together" in a different way.
>>83586915
>>83586945
I would love to see a Magik/Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld crossover from this era.
>>83588034
>>83588069
Sam is the best New Mutant
>>83589310
Secret War lasted a year?
reading this, and taking into account how great this book sold in the 80s, it surprises me Dani never became a b list character.
>>83594039
Irene Merryweather, and I don't think she's been seen since the end of Cable & Deadpool. Not killed or pissed at Cable or anything, she just hasn't shown up.
And in Karma's case it wasn't that her power was too useless but the opposite: Claremont had problems thinking of situations where she wasn't just an instant win button.
>>83594446
Dani and Sam are both 16 while Kitty, Rahne, Roberto and Amara are all 14.
>>83599333
She got written out once Liefeld came on and only showed up sporadically as part of the MLF (as a double-agent for SHIELD) for most of the '90s. It wasn't really until Wells' series where she got turned into a total badass and gained a lot of popularity.
>>83586052
I had this issue. Thanks for the memories, anons.
