Nah. Originally she was kind of goofy looking. As things went on she just became generic gray are between plain and cute depending on the artist. Now I think it's more the fault of her artist since EVERYONE in that comic is fucking hideous even the characters that are supposed to be attractive.

Wolverine was an ugly guy until Jackedman played him and there was a time in the 80's where you couldn't have a Marvel comic without him showing up.
Emery Schaub, aka The Boulder, is one of my favorite super heroes and he's literally a fat teenager with no real abilities beyond being invincible.
