I draw on the level of someone half my age, at best. Dobson, however, has managed to work his way up to the level of a newspaper comic artist, despite having obvious personality problems. For the simple fact that he refuse to let his diagnosis get him down and he went ahead and made a webseries, even if the animation was choppy and the voice acting was mediocre, he didn't give a shit because it was fulfilling to him because it HAD to be. We take that shit for granted, a lot of artists just think, "I'll wait until I'm good enough because I work on this story" but Ed says fuck that, I NEED to do this now.
And now, he has his name attached to something and random strangers who will miss him because he actually just went ahead and did something rather than being a perfectionist about it. It's better to have your work be mediocre and loved than perfect and hidden away, I think.
