I wish, but thats not how crossover fighting game sequels usually work.
In a standard fighting game sequel you can expect same characters + 3 new.
In (in universe) generation changes you can expect a huge part of the previous cast +5 or so "new" characters that in fact replacements for 5 of the lost so the overall number is reduced, with luck it remains the same but usually reduced.
In the case of crossover fighting games only the core character (may be 5-6) remain the rest is new stuff. And from the new stuff at least 4-5 are cheap licenses that no one really wanted into the game.

I'm not saying he's superhuman. Just that he at least has some fighting skills unlike Leatherface which makes more sense. Leatherface shouldn't even be at the top ten of horror movie villains in terms of fighting ability.
