So /co/, yesterday I started the previous thread to find out more regarding an old horror cartoon (that thanks to an anon we now know it was inspired by an Australian book series) I used to watch that apparently almost disappeared from the Internet and it's called Wicked!.
During the course of the thread we got some anons helping out and I even sent out messages to both book authors to see if there is any way to recover the episodes.
We also had another anon that asked their Australian friend to search for the books and the DVDs of the series.

"Movie" (it's actually made with chopped parts of various episodes and it's barely as long as 3 of them): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8KRQI_TsMo

damnit i'm gonna go lick commissioner gordon's ass..

Thanks for the bump, I guess. Board is slow as shit right now.

Why did you watch it if you hated it, anyway?
>>
>>83563987

considering the time period this aired, it's not like we could do much else besides watch tv. internet was only affordable after 6pm, and even then for an hour or two at best.
>>
The animation seems familiar, isn't this the studio that did those "friend of a friend tales" for cartoon network in early 2000's or so? either way it looks on the same vein of storytelling as goosebumps so i guess it's worth checking.
>>
Oh hey, I read these books and saw it on TV.

Ausfag btw.

I think the show aired on Channel Seven. Australia's got a ton of cartoon shows and live action kid's stuff that it either made or was involved in the production of.

I really liked Tabaluga when I was a kid.

I thought I was making this apple guy in my mind but yes I remember this. He still looks creepy tho

You know, so many anons in the previous threads thought that that I'm starting to understand why the anon in the last thread said that this sounds like Candle Cove
>>
>>83565539
>Candle Cove
didn't heard it before. I will google that.
>>
>>83565593
It's a shitty creepypasta about a made up forum conversation where people reminisce about a creepy cartoon everyone barely remembers that aired in the 70s and gave people nightmares but in the end the episodes were actually 30 minutes of static every time and people made everything up
>>
>>83565648
read some of the stuff and it is so cringy. just like the other creepypasta craps.
>>
Still no reply from the authors nor the network yet.

>Appleman is the boy's biological dad.

Wow it makes sense now.

And thanks for this. When i first saw this i thought it has Hebrew dub as well.
>>
>>83568374

Yeah, IIRC in the books he starts turning into an appleman himself.
>>
>>83568463
The boy? Ride is just starting than.
>>
>>83568485

I think so? I remember bits of the books, and the last one I read was him and the girl on an abandoned tanker, he's turning apple-y, and they find these giant monster maggot things and use the girl's bra as a slingshot to kill them with a special powder bomb or something.

Also an army of giant frogs happened in the middle of the story I think. I don't remember much of the show, I only saw some of it and it wasn't really my thing by that point. Hell, I could probably find all the books at a library or something.

sounds sick as hell. I want to read them more now.
